About the Role

Come create the future of live streaming at Twitch! As a member of Twitch's Business Development team, you'll use your industry and product acumen, existing network, and partnership knowledge to support new product initiatives and develop new opportunities with strategic B2B partners that benefit Twitch communities.

To support our growth, we are looking for an accomplished, motivated, and data-driven Senior Manager of Business Development who is a detail-oriented problem solver, thrives in ambiguity, and delivers results with limited oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience with relationship building, financial analysis/modeling, designing creative deal structures, and closing complex partnerships by working with cross-functional partners including product, legal, marketing, partnerships, and sales. You will report to the Director of Business Development and manage new and existing Twitch partnerships, which may include opportunities with other major tech companies, consumer services and products, payments, distribution partners, and more.

You can work in San Francisco, CA.
You Will:
  • Both independently and collaboratively identify, source, and close a variety of high impact partnership agreements with a diverse variety of companies. This includes developing strategy within a sector by applying relevant data points to make informed decisions and bring senior leadership on board from initial negotiations through execution to ensure successful long-term partnerships.
  • Lead multiple engagements simultaneously across business categories (net-new and existing) from sourcing to go-to-market. This includes driving financial modeling, legal reviews, co-marketing discussions, and appropriate internal reporting including P&L management.
  • Explore new business categories and growth opportunities, supported by a business case with sizing and financial projections, reasons to believe, success measures, risk mitigation, and recommendations.
  • Build external partner relationships quickly, including working backwards from both companies' goals with an understanding of needs, visions, and strategy on both sides.
  • Articulate product vision and strategies to both internal and external partners, and advise Twitch business units by contextualizing relevant insights based on customer feedback, market insights, and data analysis.
You Have:
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, B2B partnerships, product and platform partnerships, and/or partnership GTM management.
  • Experience partnering with legal teams to negotiate and contract agreements.
  • An understanding of Twitch's products and its business model.
  • The ability to develop recommendations in highly ambiguous environments.
  • Experience and comfortability working with technical product teams.
Bonus Points
  • Background in technology or media & entertainment, preferred.
  • Avid Twitch user as a creator or viewer and passionate about Twitch communities and the creator economy.
  • Top-tier academic degree and/or advanced degree.
Perks
  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Maternity & Parental Leave
  • Flexible PTO

About Twitch

Twitch is an American video live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions, in addition to offering music broadcasts, creative content, and "in real life" streams. It is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. It was introduced in June 2011 as a spin-off of the general-interest streaming platform Justin.tv. Content on the site can be viewed either live or via video on demand. The popularity of Twitch eclipsed that of its general-interest counterpart. In October 2013, the website had 45 million unique viewers, and by February 2014, it was considered the fourth-largest source of peak Internet traffic in the United States. At the same time, Justin.tv's parent company was re-branded as Twitch Interactive to represent the shift in focus – Justin.tv was shut down in August 2014. That month, the service was acquired by Amazon for US$970 million, which later led to the introduction of synergies with the company's subscription service Amazon Prime. Twitch acquired Curse in 2016, an operator of online video gaming communities and introduced means to purchase games through links on streams along with a program allowing streamers to receive commissions on the sales of games that they play.
