Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with responsibility for virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud platforms (AWS and Azure). The ideal candidate has VMware experience, strong infrastructure fundamentals, and the ability to contribute to cloud modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and support VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS)
- Perform lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
- Troubleshoot performance issues across compute and hypervisor layers
- Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations
- Administer enterprise SAN/NAS environments (iSCSI, Fiber Channel)
- Manage storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, and backups
- Support hybrid cloud connectivity between on-prem and public cloud
- Deploy and manage AWS and Azure infrastructure services
- Assist with VM migrations and cloud optimization initiatives
- Implement IAM/RBAC controls and cost governance practices
- Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts (Terraform, Ansible preferred)
- Participate in monitoring and observability initiatives
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex incidents
- Maintain clear documentation and technical standards
- Serve as a senior technical advisor during incident response, complex problem resolution, and risk assessments
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience
Strong hands-on expertise with:
- VMware enterprise environments
- Enterprise storage systems
- AWS and/or Azure
Solid understanding of:
- Networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, firewalls)
- Backup and disaster recovery principles
- Hybrid cloud architecture
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications- Nutanix HCI experience
- Linux experience
- VMware (VCP) certification
- AWS or Azure certifications
- Exposure to Kubernetes or container platform
