)Job Description: Reporting to the Configuration Management (CM) /Data Management (DM) Manager, Specialty Engineering, the Sr. Specialist Configuration Management role provides configuration and data oversight to their assigned program(s). This role will be responsible for planning, managing, and reporting on the documentation created to fulfill customer configuration and data requirements. The role will oversee detailed drawing and documentation reviews and will be required to interface with all departments supporting the programs, including Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, Subcontracts, Quality, and other functions concerning the initial release and formal changes to documentation. This role will be required to hold programs to established configuration and data management processes.
Essential Functions: - Creating and executing Configuration Management and Data Management Plans.
- Ensuring that all configuration items comply with program documentation standards based on internal and/or contractual requirements.
- Reviewing and approving/rejecting changes to all configuration items.
- Ensuring program level Configuration Control Boards are established.
- Reviewing formal configuration management baselines and processing changes to those baselines.
- Ensuring that all CDRLs and SDRLs are delivered on time by CM/DM personnel, are controlled in the CDM database and delivered in accordance contractual requirements.
- Ensuring that all CDRLS and SDRLs are received and dispersed to appropriate reviewers in a timely manner.
- Periodic reporting on CDRL and/or SDRL deliveries in support of on-time delivery metrics.
- Ensuring program resources are assigned appropriate data item responsibility and are notified when action is required.
- Creating and maintaining Configuration Status Accounting reports for assigned programs.
- Participating in Pre-Testing and Pre-Delivery Audits, including FCAs/PCAs if required by contract.
- Providing training and guidance on CM/DM processes and systems to cross-functional business users.
- Providing support for proposal activity including cost estimates for Configuration and Data Management activity.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- At least 4 years of prior Configuration and Data Management experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance (Secret).
Preferred Additional Skills:- Experience with Data Management with DoD background preferred.
- Experience with PLM is a plus.
- SAP experience.
- MS Suite expertise.
- Highly motivated self-starter, capable of working independently under minimal supervision.
- Proficient with MS Office products.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is US$88,000 - US$164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
