PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in San Jose, CA
Job Duties: Follow UX designs and convert them as features on the PayPal iOS platform. Design and develop upgrades to automated testing and quality control pipeline for flagship iOS applications, delivering a high-quality iOS experience to users. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the PayPal application in the iOS ecosystem. Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features. Work closely with various stakeholders like UI designers, cross-functional teams, and product management teams and strive to deliver quality products. Perform detailed analysis and technical designs, create technical documents, and actively participate in design and code reviews. Code, test, integrate, document, and release software adhering to technical and quality standards. Maintain and release processes for mobile iOS components and artifacts-dependencies, library updates, and security patches. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience with Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C (3 years);
2. Experience with continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins and Harness, and application monitoring using Crashlytics and Datadog (3 years);
3. Experience with mocking tool: XCUITest (3 years);
4. Experience with build tool development and enhancements, integrating unit testing and functional testing using Cucumber (3 years);
5. Experience with iOS technologies, the tradeoffs, and emerging design patterns (3 years);
6. Experience with mobile performance optimization (3 years);
7. Experience with machine learning and AI in mobile applications (2 years);
8. Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to connect iOS applications to backend services (3 years);
9. Experience with iOS application architecture (3 years);
10. Experience in designing and delivering software or platforms (libraries) (3 years);
11. Knowledge of Cocoa Frameworks and Xcode;
12. Experience with object-oriented skills including design, coding and testing patterns (3 years);
13. Experience with animation and implementing user interface designs (3 years);
14. Experience in design patterns: MVC and MVVM (3 years).
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:
Primary Location | Pay Range:
San Jose, California | Salary: $169,576.00-243,500.00per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
