PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in New York, NY
Job Duties: Analyze new product requirements and prepare design, and develop robust, scalable, data-driven software applications and features using object-oriented programming, and advanced object-oriented design and development principles. Create design specifications for PayPal's rewarding engine software and its algorithm to enhance the efficiency of real-time processing for millions of PayPal's payments and mapping those to eligible promotions or campaigns. Design and develop highly available and scalable Rewards diagnostic tool using Java & Spring boot frameworks for increased visibility at the level of rewarding platform. Perform high-quality software analytics, design, development, testing, and maintenance for the PayPal core technology platform. Lead product design and code reviews. Develop automated component tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in a continuous integration and delivery environment. Drive architecture discussions and propose solutions to system and product changes. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:
Primary Location | Pay Range:
New York, NY | Salary: $189,592.00-300,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
