Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain core AI-SDLC platform capabilities, including automation pipelines, agentic workflows, and skills-based frameworks.
- Build and enhance LLM-powered solutions that automate requirements refinement, story decomposition, and software delivery lifecycle processes.
- Develop scalable and reusable prompt orchestration, context management, and multi-agent frameworks supporting enterprise adoption.
- Partner with engineering and delivery teams to translate business and development needs into robust AI platform features.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve defects across AI pipelines, integrations, and platform components to ensure reliability and performance.
- Build and maintain secure API integrations, authentication frameworks, and developer tooling that support AI-SDLC workflows.
- Implement automated testing, evaluation frameworks, and quality controls to improve platform stability and AI output accuracy.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, governance, auditability, compliance, and architectural alignment.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience- Strong software engineering expertise in Python, with proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or Java for production-grade application development.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and agentic AI architectures.
- Deep understanding of AI pipeline engineering, workflow orchestration, automation frameworks, and SDLC modernization.
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and enterprise-scale services.
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub, CI/CD practices, unit testing, integration testing, and automated quality assurance frameworks.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI, model evaluation, guardrails, governance, and secure AI development practices.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies including AWS (Lambda, S3, Bedrock, Amplify) and distributed application architectures.
- Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, observability/telemetry (OpenTelemetry), and AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Location expectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00
