We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead Software Engineer to join Software Reliability Engineering (SRE) Onboarding and automation team. This role will drive innovation through automation, enhancement of observability platform to improve efficiency, utilize AI capabilities to improve user experience, and enable proactive detection of issues impacting critical business flows.
What you’ll do:
You will play a key role in driving end-to-end onboarding automation, enhancing observability integrations, and delivering intelligent solutions for client support, onboarding management, issue troubleshooting, and outage prevention. You will help shape how teams interact with the observability platform by leveraging automation to improve efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and enable faster, smarter issue resolution.
- Design and implement scalable automation solutions to eliminate manual steps in onboarding workflows
- Enhance and maintain the SRE Intake platform with a focus on usability, performance, and extensibility
- Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies—such as LLMs, agents, and the latest Azure features—to find faster and better ways to address business challenges
- Become Observability expert to facilitate early detection and issues resolution
- Collaborate with client teams to build customized dashboards and monitors
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, automation, or platform development - preferred 8+ years.
- Strong programming skills in Java (preferred) or similar backend technologies.
- Experience building APIs, microservices, and scalable backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Cloud architecture
- Familiarity with observability tools
- Strong collaboration skills to works effectively across application, architecture, and leadership teams.
- Passion for innovation, particularly in AI-driven automation and developer productivity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML or intelligent automation solutions.
- Knowledge of SRE practices and production support workflows.
- Experience with frontend technologies and improving UI/UX.
- Exposure to large-scale onboarding or intake systems.
- Familiarity with data visualization frameworks and reporting tools.
