We are currently seeking a
Sr SDET Engineer (Selenium, Playwright / Cypress, Java / Python, FTE, Onsite) to join our team in
Irving,
Texas (US-TX),
United States (US).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:Test Automation & Framework Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing
- Identify test scenarios suitable for automation and ensure high automation coverage
- Develop automated test scripts using Java/Python (or similar languages) Testing & Quality Engineering
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and system testing
- Execute automated and limited manual tests where required
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test strategy discussions
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Enable shift-left testing and continuous quality checks
- Work with DevOps teams to support containerized and cloud-based test execution
- Work as part of Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with developers to debug issues and improve testability
- Provide clear test metrics, reports, and quality insights to stakeholders
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to test tools, frameworks, and processes
- Stay updated with latest trends in test automation and quality engineering
- Mentor junior QA/Automation engineers when needed
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in test automation / SDET roles
- 5+ years of Strong programming skills in Java or Python
- 5+ years of Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
- 5+ years of Strong API automation experience using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools
- 5+ years of Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest)
- 5+ years of Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- 5+ years of Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- 5+ years of Working knowledge of SQL and database testing
- 5+ years of Experience testing microservices and distributed systems
- 5+ years of Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
- 5+ years of Experience with Docker and containers (Kubernetes is a plus)
- Understanding of performance and security testing basics (JMeter, OWASP concepts)
#LI-NorthAmericaNTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $83,520.00 - $125,280.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
