Full Job Description
Responsibilities

The Sr Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the Project Team in the preparation and updating of the Overall Project Schedule and all other time and progress-related activities, including but not limited to, Baseline Schedule preparation, weekly/monthly schedule updates, schedule and schedule variance analysis, progress tracking, and change management of their assigned project. This position is intended to perform the activities assigned in autonomy, but in continuous coordination with the Project Team.

The Sr Scheduler might need to coordinate a team of Schedulers and Jr Schedulers in performing the activities, depending on the size and complexity of the project. This position will coordinate the Project Team in the planning and scheduling of design and construction projects.

In addition, you will:
  • Drive the development and maintenance of specific Project Baselines to fulfill project requirements
  • Prepare, maintain, update and review cost/resource loaded P6 schedules
  • Prepare, maintain, update and review Progress Measurement, Monitoring and Reporting System
  • Drive the weekly/monthly update of the Overall Project Schedule and all time and physical progress related tools (Procurement Plan, Design and Submittal Plan, Physical Progress Report)
  • Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information
  • Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule
  • Analyze, evaluate performance from Subcontractors and self-performing resources (If applicable)
  • Update and adjust Overall Project Schedule and all time-related tools based on the progress and performance retrieved, proposing alternative sequences and recovery plans when needed
  • Analyze, evaluate, and assess any design or construction delays or changes or external factors' impact on the schedule
  • Report schedule status to all levels of the project team and company management and to the client
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to others in the resolution of scheduling issues as needed
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to Schedulers and Jr Schedulers assigned, in order to facilitate their development and professional growth
  • Provide assistance to the Scheduling Manager and Director of Scheduling in the setup of SOP, standard schedules, and training across the Company (Available to travel within the USA)
  • Attend schedule review meetings at project locations (Available to travel within the USA)
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualifications

About You:
  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • No professional license is required, but a certification from PMI or AACEi is a plus
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Hands-On experience in using a Project Management System (i.e. Procore, Unifier)
  • Advanced knowledge of Scheduling Software (Mandatory Primavera P6 EPPM, or Oracle Primavera Cloud; ASSTA, Microsoft Project is a plus)
  • Knowledge of Risk Schedule Analysis Software (Primavera Risk, Acumen 360), and techniques is a plus
  • Experience in large industrial construction projects is preferred
  • Ability to travel and/or relocate within the United States
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet reporting deadlines
  • Proactive and organized approach to tasks

  • Ability to analyze contractors' schedule(s) during both the development phase (baselines) and during active construction to determine overall progress, including analyses of critical path(s), and review resource loading
  • Ability to prepare scheduling reports for the project management team(s) as needed
  • Ability to perform Time Impact Analysis or other Delay and Disruptions Scheduling Techniques
  • Ability in Costs/Resource loading
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Change Management
  • Experience in cost estimating or Cost Control is a plus
