Your Role at Delta Faucet:

Job Summary

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for applying Quality Engineering principles and tools to ensure Delta Faucet Company products consistently meet customer expectations and business objectives. This role serves as a key quality representative supporting new product development, manufacturing, suppliers, and sustaining quality initiatives through proactive risk management, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement.

The Senior Quality Engineer works independently with minimal supervision, leads complex quality initiatives, and collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations to improve product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

This position is based at the Delta Faucet Company Corporate Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, and requires an in-office presence to support cross-functional collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead quality activities supporting new product development, product improvements, and sustaining engineering initiatives.
  • Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools throughout product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead or support Design and Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA), control plans, process capability studies, PPAP, and validation planning.
  • Develop, execute, and evaluate product and process validation plans to reduce quality risk and improve product performance.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, A3, DMAIC, and 5-Why.
  • Analyze quality, manufacturing, warranty, and field performance data to identify trends, prioritize improvements, and reduce customer risk.
  • Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Operations, and Customer Solutions to resolve product and process issues.
  • Support supplier qualification activities, PPAP reviews, process improvements, and corrective action implementation as needed.
  • Participate in technical and manufacturing readiness reviews to identify and mitigate quality risks.
  • Develop and present technical recommendations, risk assessments, and quality metrics to project teams and leadership.
  • Promote continuous improvement through data-driven decision making, standardization, and lessons learned integration.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to the continued development of quality engineering best practices.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
  • Experience with APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, structured problem solving, and statistical analysis preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and validation testing.
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and quality management systems preferred.
  • Experience with supplier quality, auditing, or manufacturing process improvement is desirable.
