Sr QE Mobile Automation EngineerPosition Summary: We are seeking a talented QE/Test Automation Engineer with a focus on mobile applications to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation frameworks and tools, particularly within the mobile space. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks for mobile applications across various platforms (iOS and Android).
- Collaborate with the QA team to analyze project requirements and identify test automation opportunities.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines to automate the execution of test suites.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure the quality and maintainability of test automation code.
- Execute automated test suites to identify defects, bugs, and performance issues in mobile applications.
- Integrate automated tests into the overall software development lifecycle, including build verification, regression testing, and release validation.
- Monitor test automation results and investigate failures to identify root causes and ensure accurate reporting.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to prioritize and resolve issues identified through test automation.
- Mentor and support junior members of the QE team, sharing best practices and techniques for test automation.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in mobile testing and automation technologies, and recommend improvements to the QE process as needed.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with a focus on test automation for mobile applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, or Swift.
- Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and their respective testing frameworks.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as selenium, Appium, Espresso, XCTest, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery tools, such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and identify root causes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in software testing and automation are a plus.
- Basic to intermediate exposure to AI/Agentic AI concepts in testing
- Hands-on usage of Cursor IDE and understanding of MCP concepts
Must Have -- Hands-on experience in Mobile App Automation (iOS & Android)
- Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin or Swift
- Experience working with automation frameworks (Appium or equivalent)
- Basic to intermediate exposure to AI/Agentic AI concepts in testing
- Hands-on usage of Cursor IDE and understanding of MCP concepts.
