Full Job Description
RTI is seeking a Project Manager to define and drive the strategic vision for its industry-leading real-time middleware platform. Operating at the intersection of client engagement, product discovery, and execution, you will transform user needs and market analysis into actionable project plans, go-to-market strategies, and cross-functional momentum. We are looking for a hands-on leader skilled in modern middleware platforms and agile toolsets who can guide technical teams, engage key stakeholders, and successfully steer high-impact projects from initial discovery through launch.

• What You'll Do / Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the point of contact in communicating with clients to determine project requirements, strategy/vision/objectives, then create a comprehensive project plan.
  • Develop project plans, operating and business strategies, and best practices.
  • Research and analyze user needs and market opportunities.
  • Create project status presentations for various stakeholders, customers, or project personnel.
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables, propose, review, and approve modifications to project plans, produce and distribute project documents, improve business processes.
  • Coordinate resource procurement activities, including guiding the work of technical staff as needed.
  • Perform hands-on competitive market analysis of key external offerings, then develop competitive advantage insights and go-to-market strategy.
  • Work with customer-facing teams to understand market needs and business and strategic impact.
  • Perform product discovery, identify feature sets, and frame customer needs.
  • Communicate product capabilities for stakeholders and identify/resolve problems.
  • Work with product marketing to drive project launches and participate in content creation and product evangelism until project completion.
  • Utilize experience with project management tools and technologies, such as Kubernetes, GitHub; Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Salesforce and API middleware communication technologies.

What We're Looking For / Requirements:
  • Master's degree (or equivalent*) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Management or related field such as Telecommunications Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Technical Marketing Engineer, Software Engineer, Senior Operations Analyst, or Project Manager
  • Three (3) years of experience with:
    • Product or project management building platform products, such as infrastructure software or networking products;
    • Software development and product design, including working with customer-facing teams to understand market needs and business and strategic impact;
    • Product investments and vertical market strategies;
    • Product optimization through customer pilots;
    • Working with product marketing to drive successful launches;
    • Content creation and product evangelism;
    • Go-to-market strategy;
    • Communication technologies, and software tools and technologies: Kubernetes, GitHub; B2B technical software, including Jira, Salesforce;
    • Distributed systems;
    • Experience with the complete project lifecycle, including feature roadmaps.

The compensation range for this role is $126,900 - $215,300 for Sunnyvale, CA. The salary range displayed on this job posting reflects a minimum and maximum target. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that this range reflects the base salary target range only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
