About the Role:

Synergy Business Innovation & Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead and oversee complex IT information systems engineering and systems integration projects. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between government leadership and contractor teams, guiding technical direction across all phases of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, deep technical authority in cloud and systems engineering, and a proven track record of controlling project cost, schedule, and performance while driving continuous process improvement and change management.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Program Leadership & Task Management: Organize, schedule, and assign responsibilities to subordinate technical and functional staff; oversee day-to-day operations and completion of all IT project tasks.
  • Government & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary interface between Government management personnel and contractor leadership, delivering clear written and oral status reports.
  • Technical & Governance Authority: Provide overarching technical direction for system development, integration, and cloud management initiatives; serve as a subject matter authority for technical design and issue resolution.
  • Planning & Execution: Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of Program Management Plans and Technical Specifications Plans that guide all technical and functional project activities.
  • Cost & Schedule Control: Monitor performance metrics to ensure all deliverables meet quality standards while staying within estimated cost and timeline baselines.
  • Risk & Problem Mitigation: Proactively anticipate systems integration challenges and implement modern technological solutions to resolve unique systems engineering problems.
  • Change Management & Process Improvement: Lead organizational change management strategies, streamline workflows, and drive continuous process engineering.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience providing technical direction and project management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience (in addition to the 5 years of project management experience above).
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in change management and process improvements.
    Hands-on experience with cloud management and familiarization with all phases of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Direct experience leading leadership and task management for large-scale federal IT systems engineering or systems integration contracts.
  • Experience implementing cloud technologies, DevSecOps methodologies, or modern enterprise architecture frameworks.

Education Requirements:
  • Required: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Preferred: In lieu of a degree: An active IT/Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP) or equivalent professional experience (5 years of experience is equivalent to 2 years of formal education).

Target Salary Range

Compensation for roles at Synergy is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the requirements of the role; level of experience; education and certifications; the individual's combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities; as well as alignment with market data, federal and state laws, and other business and contract considerations. The estimated pay range for this position is: $128,013.00 - $182,876.00. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and represent just one component of Synergy's total compensation package for employees.
