Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in technical program management or risk management within data center infrastructure, operations, or physical security environments.
  • 3 years of experience leading cross-functional risk assessment, mitigation, or business continuity programs.
  • 3 years of experience analyzing operational data, developing KRIs, and presenting risk profiles to leadership across global teams and managing multi-region operational constraints.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Professional Risk Management (e.g., CRISC, ARM) or Program Management (PMP) certifications.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with quantitative risk management, crisis response, and reputation management.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving teams using structured frameworks in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated expertise with reporting tools, dashboards, and Google Workspace applications.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Program Manager for Risk Management for SPARC Portfolio (Strategic Policy, Assurance, Risk and Compliance), you'll collaborate with risk coordinators to maintain accurate risk profiles, focusing on actionable insights for our global data center fleet. Your core responsibilities include monitoring and tracking existing and new risks, and assessing site-level risks to ensure a cohesive narrative between risk and control. You'll develop KRIs, generate risk reports, analyze incidents, and leverage data to enhance controls and predict disruptions. You will be involved in independent decision-making, creative problem-solving, maintaining a risk information library, and contributing to continuous improvement of the risk management framework. You will also manage risk registers, report to partners, create playbooks, communicate status, manage risk acceptance, utilize dashboards, and engage with global partners.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits
