What we needExol is seeking a resourceful and operational Senior Program Manager, Start-Up Procurement, to build and manage the procurement strategy that transforms newly constructed warehouses into fully functional, ready-to-operate facilities.
In this role, you will define, standardize, and execute the sourcing and delivery of all non-construction, non-automation materials required to fit Exol's growing network of warehouse sites. From breakroom furniture and janitorial services to first aid equipment, 5S supplies, and vending solutions, you will strategically determine what we buy, when we buy it, how much we buy, and from whom. In a fast-paced start-up environment where these standards don't yet exist, you will build, scale, and continuously improve them from the ground up.
What you'll do - Procurement Ownership: Own end-to-end procurement of all site fit-out materials and services outside of construction and automation scope, spanning facility supplies, breakroom equipment, safety materials, signage, janitorial services, recycling programs, and more.
- Module & BOM Development: Partner with internal module owners to develop, document, and maintain standardized module specifications and bills of materials (BOMs), ensuring every site is outfitted consistently and completely from day one.
- Vendor Identification & Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors across a diverse range of categories including furniture, safety equipment (first aid kits, AEDs, etc.), vending and snack services, janitorial, and recycling, establishing reliable supplier relationships that support Exol's growth pipeline.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and execute cost savings strategies through bulk purchasing agreements, vendor consolidation, and competitive sourcing, ensuring Exol captures the benefit of scale as we expand.
- Order Management & Receipt Coordination: Manage the full order lifecycle for each site from purchase order generation through delivery confirmation, ensuring materials arrive on time, in full, and in sequence with site readiness milestones.
- Module Reviews & Continuous Improvement: Lead regular reviews of module specifications and BOMs with internal stakeholders, incorporating operational learnings from live sites to improve accuracy, reduce waste, and evolve standards over time.
- Spend Visibility: Build and maintain procurement tracking tools that provide clear visibility into committed spend, order status, and budget performance across all active site fit-outs.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Facilities, Operations, & on-site Start-Up Leadership teams to align procurement timelines with project schedules, ensuring materials are on-site when needed without creating storage or sequencing conflicts.
What we need - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or program management, preferably within a high-growth, multi-site, or start-up operating environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent procurement workstreams across active projects, with strong organizational discipline and attention to delivery timelines.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships across multiple spend categories, including services and indirect materials.
- Experience working with bills of materials or equivalent product/materials documentation in an operational or facilities context, with an ability to translate stakeholder needs into structured procurement requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent procurement workstreams across active projects, with strong organizational discipline and attention to delivery timelines.
- APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) through ISM, or comparable procurement or supply chain credentials.
Preferred: - Warehouse or Fulfillment Experience: Prior experience supporting the fit-out, launch, or operational start-up of warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center environments.
- Bulk Purchasing & Contract Vehicles: Experience structuring and managing bulk purchasing agreements or master supply contracts that deliver cost savings at scale across multiple sites or locations.
- ERP or Procurement Systems: Familiarity with enterprise procurement or inventory management platforms (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle) for purchase order management and spend tracking.
