Full Job Description
Responsive recruiter Who We're Looking For CareerPlug is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who can both shape and execute, someone who brings strategic thinking to positioning and go-to-market decisions, then builds the content and assets that make those decisions real. Franchising is a relationship business, and CareerPlug serves a specialized audience of franchisors and franchisees who choose their tools carefully. This isn't generic SaaS product marketing. It's about deeply understanding two distinct audiences (one evaluating software at the network level and one using it to hire at the location level) and building messaging, content, and enablement that actually helps them. We have established positioning, a defined GTM framework, and a growing product that needs someone who can own the go-to-market for what we ship, from strategy through execution. You'll have real input into how we position features, how we think about the competitive landscape, and what the market is telling us. And you'll write the blog post, build the demo assets, and make sure every launch shows up clearly and consistently across every touchpoint. This role reports to the Director of Marketing, who provides strategic guidance while leading a broad portfolio of responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a seasoned product marketer who can independently drive projects forward, exercise sound judgment, and make meaningful progress without requiring day-to-day direction. If you want to be the only Senior PMM at a focused, mission-driven company where your work is visible and your opinion matters, this role is for you. How we'll measure success 37 New feature launch, adoption, and engagement37 New account and location activations37 Website engagement and conversion37 Strength and currency of competitive intelligence37 Quality and cadence of customer stories in market37 You May Be a Great Fit If 37 You have at least 5 years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, and you've owned GTM strategy and execution for product launches end-to-end. 37 You bring strategic thinking to positioning conversations. You have a point of view, you back it with evidence, and you know how to make it land. 37 You are an excellent writer who can take a product feature and explain its value in clear, sharp, customer-focused language that doesn't need heavy editing. 37 You own competitive intelligence, and you actively track the landscape, synthesize what it means, and bring it into positioning and GTM decisions. 37 You know when to go get the data. You pull customer engagement metrics, product usage trends, and competitive intelligence yourself, and you use what you find to make the work sharper. 37 You are genuinely curious about the customer and the product, and you use that curiosity to create stronger messaging, stories, and enablement. 37 You have visual communication skills and can create polished screenshots, GIFs, demo content, and product visuals. 37 You collaborate well across product, customer success, sales, partnerships, and marketing, and you embody our core values. 37 You want ownership. You're comfortable being the only PMM and find that energizing rather than stressful. Key responsibilities: 37 Shape and execute a go-to-market strategy 37 Own GTM strategy for product launches and decide how to bring a feature to market, define the narrative, segment the audience, set success metrics, and coordinate cross-functional readiness 37 Apply CareerPlug's tier framework and contribute to decisions about what level of launch a feature warrants 37 Track launch performance and use what you learn to improve the next one Translate positioning into feature-level messaging 37 Take CareerPlug's established brand positioning and operationalize it at the feature, integration, and product update levels 37 Contribute to positioning decisions and not just execute what's handed to you 37 Build the talk tracks, customer outcomes, and language that the rest of the company uses to talk about features 37 Pressure-test feature messaging with sales and partner-facing teams to make sure it works in real conversations Own competitive intelligence and market research 37 Actively track the competitive landscape, what competitors are shipping, how they're positioning, and where we're differentiated 37 Synthesize customer research, sales feedback, and market signals into clear positioning and messaging implications 37 Bring competitive and market intelligence into product and GTM conversations, not just marketing ones Write product content that inspires prospective and current customers 37 Author GTM blog posts for product launches and integration announcements 37 Write product page copy, plan and pricing page copy, integration page copy, and feature page copy 37 Draft customer-facing emails for product updates, in partnership with the Director of Marketing 37 Some posts will go out under your byline. Others will be bylined by senior leaders depending on the topic and audience Build a consistent customer story practice 37 Surface, capture, and turn customer experiences into case studies and shorter-form stories 37 Make sure customer stories show up across product pages, sales enablement, social channels, and announcements 37 Maintain a current library segmented by industry, franchise size, and use case Own product-related sales enablement 37 Surface, capture, and turn customer experiences into case studies and shorter-form stories 37 Make sure customer stories show up across product pages, sales enablement, social channels, and announcements 37 Maintain a current library segmented by industry, franchise size, and use case Keep our demo environment ready for prime time 37 Maintain a demo environment that is always current, clean, and ready for sales calls, webinars, screenshots, and product content 37 Establish and follow a refresh cadence so the environment never falls behind the product Contribute to email programs and webinars owned by other teams 37 Provide product-accurate copy, screenshots, customer quotes, and feature talk tracks to the email programs owned by the Director of Marketing 37 Provide demos, screenshots, and feature explanations for webinars owned by other teams 37 Over time, build a product-led webinar program: feature-specific best practice demos that show customers how to achieve specific outcomes using CareerPlug What we're looking for Required 37 5 years in B2B SaaS product marketing with demonstrated ownership of GTM strategy and execution 37 Strong writer with samples or a portfolio that demonstrates clear, audience-aware product writing 37 Experience owning competitive intelligence, tracking, synthesizing, and activating it in positioning and messaging decisions 37 Demonstrated experience translating product capabilities into customer-facing content (blog posts, web pages, sales enablement, case studies) 37 Ability to independently pull and interpret marketing and product performance data, such as customer engagement, usage metrics, content performance, competitive signals, and use it to improve creative decisions 37 Experience contributing to and shaping positioning and messaging decisions, as well as executing them 37 Comfort working in modern marketing and design tooling (e.g., Asana, HubSpot, Figma, Loom, Canva) and a willingness to learn what you don't know 37 Experience interviewing customers and turning their stories into usable assets 37 Ability to manage multiple launches and content workstreams simultaneously without dropping details Preferred 37 Familiarity with the franchise industry, either as a marketer who has worked with franchise brands or through direct experience in franchise systems 37 Experience marketing to two-sided or multi-stakeholder audiences (platforms, marketplaces, or software with both a buyer and an end user) 37 Background in or exposure to HR tech, workforce management, or recruiting software Benefits: 37 Work from home (we're fully remote) 37 Employer Paid Health Insurance 37 Life Insurance 37 Pet Insurance 37 Long Term Disability 37 Unlimited PTO (with minimums!) 37 One-week paid PTO (pre-start date) 37 Home Office Stipend 37 401(k) Company Match 37 Donation Matching Remote Work: We are a Remote First company forever.
