The Certinia Product Manager owns the business vision, functional scope, and delivery priorities for the company's Certinia implementation. This role is responsible for making sure the platform supports the end-to-end services lifecycle, from estimation and project setup, through resource planning, time entry, expenses, delivery tracking, billing, and reporting.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:- Own the business roadmap for the Certinia platform and prioritize scope across all implementation workstreams.
- Define how the organization will use Project Management for project planning, execution, tracking, project financials, and issue management.
- Define and govern Project Templates so repeatable project structures, tasks, milestones, assignments, and resource requests can be reused consistently.
- Own Resource Management, including resource records, resource requests, staffing, capacity, demand, scheduling, availability, and skills-based allocation.
- Define Skills Management requirements, including skills taxonomy, skill profiles, certifications, ratings, and matching resources to project demand.
- Own Time Management, including time entry, approvals, submission rules, and time-to-billing controls.
- Own Expense Management, including expense capture, approval, reimbursement, and linkage of expenses to customer billing and project invoicing.
- Own Billing Events and billing flow design, including billable record identification, billing event generation, release to finance, and invoice readiness.
- Own Services CPQ / Services Estimator, including estimate templates, opportunity-based estimates, pricing assumptions, time, cost, and expense planning, and the conversion of approved estimates into projects.
- Translate business requirements into backlog items, solution decisions, and release priorities across all Certinia modules.
- Lead fit-gap sessions and decide what should be configured, changed, deferred, or handled outside Certinia.
- Partner with implementation consultants, solution architects, finance, operations, project managers, and end users during design and build.
- Own data migration scope, including source data cleansing, migration strategy, validation, reconciliation, and cutover readiness.
- Own integrations with the finance system and related upstream or downstream tools, especially where resource, time, expense, billing, and project data must flow across systems.
- Drive UAT planning, defect triage, business sign-off, cutover, and go-live readiness.
- Maintain post-go-live enhancement backlog, release roadmap, and continuous improvement plan.
Basic Qualifications:- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience configuring Salesforce-based enterprise platforms.
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Certinia PSA (Professional Services Automation).
- Experience supporting multi-system integrations within enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Professional Services Automation (PSA) processes, including project management, resource management, skills management, time entry, expense management, estimating, billing, and data migration workstreams.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support implementation activities and business process improvements.
- Strong stakeholder management, business analysis, and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance business process requirements, user adoption, and implementation constraints.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting Professional Services Operations, project accounting, services billing, or Professional Services Automation (PSA) transformation initiatives.
- Experience with template-based implementation or rollout methodologies.
- Experience planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience supporting post-launch optimization and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification preferred.
The pay range for this position is $102,300 to $147,050. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
