Full Job Description
The Opportunity

We're looking for a Sr. Product Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. Planview Portfolios is our end-to-end Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) product, powered by Anvi - it's how enterprises connect strategy, investment decisions, capacity, and delivery into one continuously updated system instead of a patchwork of spreadsheets and disconnected tools. We're growing the Portfolios PM team and looking for a Senior Product Manager to join it - focused on the problem space where demand gets evaluated, portfolio financial plans get made, and outcomes get tracked against what the business actually funded that work to achieve.

What You'll Do

  • Own key capabilities and initiatives at the intersection of AI and portfolio management, collaboratively developing a Portfolios roadmap that advances how AI is transforming SPM while supporting team-wide bookings and retention targets.
  • Make and defend prioritization trade-offs with incomplete information, including saying no to loud, well-connected customer requests when they don't serve the broader base.
  • Track the business impact of what you ship - adoption, retention, and expansion tied to your area - and adjust based on what the data says, not what the roadmap assumed.
  • Work directly with large enterprise customers and their EPMOs and finance teams to understand how they run demand intake, financial planning, and outcomes tracking today, and translate that into requirements that hold up across many customers, not just one.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineers on active deals and renewals where your area is the reason a customer buys, expands, or churns.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and data science teams to take features from concept through GA, owning the outcome, not just the requirements doc.

What You'll Bring

Must-haves
  • A track record of owning a product area in enterprise B2B software end-to-end - from concept to GA - with evidence you've made real trade-off calls, not just gathered requirements.
  • Direct experience working with enterprise customers and their internal stakeholders (PMOs, finance, or portfolio/resource management functions) to shape product decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship AI-driven features grounded in a real, structured data model, or a sharp, credible point of view on how AI should change financial or portfolio decision-making even without direct experience.
  • Comfort operating with significant autonomy and ambiguity, and influencing engineering, design, sales, and customer-facing teams without formal authority over any of them.

Nice-to-haves
  • Domain experience in strategic portfolio management or PPM strongly preferred
  • Specific exposure to or knowledge of leading SPM or PPM products
  • Experience with the scale and complexity of large enterprises - matrixed organizations, multiple business units or geographies, layered approval processes - to design products that hold up inside them, not just in a demo
  • Experience working with finance, strategic planning, scenario planning, program/portfolio operations, or enterprise resource/capacity planning domains

What makes this role different

You'll report directly into the GVP of Product Management, with a short line to where strategic product direction for Planview gets set. You're also joining a recognized leader in the category - Planview has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Strategic Portfolio Management 4+ years running, and a Leader in the Forrester Wave for SPM tools - at the point where AI is reshaping what the category even means. You'll help define what SPM becomes next.

Team & reporting

Reports to the GVP, Product Management. Works daily with engineering, design, and other Portfolios PMs, plus close, regular contact with Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering on enterprise deals.

Location & logistics

Austin or Vancouver preferred; Based in North America (remote candidates in North America will be considered). Some customer and team travel expected.
