Job Description

The Senior Product Manager - Software and Services is a senior role responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle and success of software, digital and professional service solutions for our Security and Access Solutions brands. This position combines deep product knowledge with strategic oversight, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product performance, meet market demands, and support overall business objectives.

You will report directly to our Director of Product Management and you'll work out of our Pittsford, NY, Atlanta, GA, or Costa Mesa, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • NPI Project Management: Lead or supervise new product introduction process. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful launch of new products.
  • Strategic Planning: Support strategies for new offering introductions that align with market needs and business goals. Provide insights and recommendations based on market research and competitive analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and service delivery teams to ensure alignment and integration of new offerings. Facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Technical & Business Expertise: Address complex customer technical and business process needs to ensure that new offerings deliver expected business value.
  • Competitive Analysis: Ability to benchmark products against competitors and identify differentiation opportunities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to articulate product vision and updates.
  • Market Readiness: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams ensure that new products are well-positioned in the market and supported with appropriate training and materials.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive use case and requirements documentation related to new products. Prepare and present reports on project status, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback on products. Utilize feedback to drive product improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential issues during the NPI phase and develop solutions to address them. Implement strategies to prevent future issues and ensure a smooth product launch.
  • Technical and commercial knowledge related to software product development and introduction processes, call center operations and/or physical security industry.
  • Ability to gather and interpret market data, industry trends, competitive offerings, voice of the customer, then translate these inputs into actionable growth strategies.
  • Support commercial leaders to identify sales strategies, target customers, partners and other major stakeholders for new business opportunities.
  • Proficiency with project management and product management tools.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, offering management, or a related role
  • Experience with software and services offering
  • Experience transitioning on-prem to cloud based SaaS software offerings
  • Strong business case, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong focus on customer journey and experience
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Results orientation with proven track record of successfully proposing, developing, and launching offerings
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented skills

The annual base salary range for this position in California, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Washington State (excluding most major metropolitan areas); and anywhere in Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, and Vermont is $167,000 - $251,000. For Washington DC, and most major metropolitan areas in California, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Washington State, the annual base salary range is $192,000 - $289,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.

Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
