You'll set the standard for planning, executing, and communicating design work, ensuring robust alignment with Tessell's vision and diverse user needs.
  • Design Excellence & Mentorship: Champion and elevate design quality and consistency across all product areas, establishing and maintaining design systems and best practices. You'll provide significant mentorship and guidance to junior and senior designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and design excellence.
Your Focus Areas
  • Problem Identification & Definition: Independently identify, define, and frame highly complex design and user problems, translating them into actionable design challenges and contributing significantly to strategic product roadmaps.
  • Proactive Innovation & Strategy: Proactively identify significant design challenges and opportunities across the entire product ecosystem, leading the charge in proposing, validating, and implementing groundbreaking solutions that drive product success and user delight.
  • User-Centered Design Advocacy: Expertly recognize and proactively address when proposed solutions deliver limited benefit to users or create/reinforce inequities. You'll lead and influence collaborative efforts with executive leadership and stakeholders to ensure truly user-centered, equitable, and impactful experiences are delivered consistently.
How You'll Execute Good Design

At Tessell, we expect you to execute good design by:
  • Strategic Collaboration & Influence: Lead and facilitate critical cross-project collaborations with multiple teams, expertly navigating, executing, and communicating complex user needs, business constraints, and strategic opportunities at an organizational level.
  • Mentorship & Thought Leadership: Provide strong mentorship to junior and senior UX designers, while also serving as a thought leader who not only identifies but actively challenges dominant design paradigms, inspiring innovation and pushing boundaries.
  • Growth & Paradigm Evolution: Drive the evolution of team design principles, processes, and methods, leading the charge in challenging and evolving dominant paradigms with significant autonomy and strategic influence across the organization.

  • A demonstrated ability to continuously learn, adapt, and strategically apply new knowledge in user-centered product development and design.
  • A proven eagerness to lead, mentor, and significantly contribute to the design team's overall success and strategic direction.
Your Profile Will Stand Out If You Have
