About the Role
Marvell is seeking a seasoned Senior Principal Program Manager to lead the delivery of next-generation optical engines within semiconductor solutions built on industry-leading process technologies.
The Cloud Optics organization develops advanced optical connectivity solutions that enable the performance, scalability, and efficiency required in modern cloud and AI data centers. Our portfolio spans high-bandwidth optical interconnects across intra-data center, campus, and data center interconnect (DCI) applications, leveraging technologies such as PAM4 optical DSPs, coherent-lite DSPs, co-packaged optical engines, and DCI optical modules.

What You’ll Do
• Lead end-to-end program execution for a portfolio of optical solutions, from concept through production ramp
• Translate design specifications into fully realized products, ensuring execution aligns with technical and business objectives
• Drive alignment across cross-functional teams, including photonics design, analog design, packaging, planning/supply management, DVT, qual, and finance
• Coordinate and deconflict multiple concurrent workstreams to ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-spec delivery
• Manage key program milestones including:
o Test and evaluation
o Reliability qualification
o Customer sampling
o Production acceptance and ramp
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, ensuring transparency and proactive issue resolution
• Provide clear, structured program communication and reporting to various stakeholders such as: engineering, operations, and executive leadership
• Drive clarity across schedules, material readiness, and operational priorities

What You Can Expect
•Lead design engineering program management of subsystems to be incorporated into custom solutions for hyper-scale cloud data center customers
•Own end‑to‑end program delivery, including initiation, strategic planning, tracking, and execution of complex optical programs
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, plan overall validation strategies, and ensure customer support
•Drive functional teams in debug and issue resolution
•Monitor and control project execution to maintain a healthy balance of schedule, quality, and cost against the plan of record
•Communicate effectively with engineering, management, and executive stakeholders
•Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed to drive resolution
•Interface with corporate program management office
What We're Looking For
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PhD a plus)
•Significant industry experience, preferred 15+ years (10+ with a Master’s, 8+ with a PhD)
•8+ years of Project Management / Program management experience in the semiconductor industry
•Exceptional leadership, time management, and organizational skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong risk identification, analysis, and problem-solving abilities
•Proven ability to make strategic decisions that meet both internal objectives and customer requirements
•Demonstrated ability to program manage multiple concurrent development efforts, driving the successful delivery of silicon subsystems as well as final client product
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
158,330 - 237,200, $ per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
