Job Description

As the Sr. Principal Product Manager for Hardware Strategy, OCI Dedicated Cloud, your primary objective will be to define and drive the commercial and technical hardware strategy required to support OCI's Dedicated Cloud portfolio. This includes Dedicated Region, Oracle Alloy, Isolated Region, and other customer-specific OCI deployment models.

You will be responsible for shaping the product strategy for Dedicated Cloud infrastructure platforms, including compute, GPU, storage, networking, rack-scale designs, minimum viable deployment footprints, expansion models, lifecycle management, serviceability, supply chain readiness, and commercial packaging. You will work closely with OCI service teams, hardware engineering, capacity planning, data center engineering, networking, security, finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure that hardware capabilities align with customer demand, service roadmap needs, deployment economics, and Oracle's go-to-market strategy.

This role requires both deep product management discipline and strong technical judgment. You will evaluate a broad range of hardware requirements from customers, field teams, engineering organizations, and executive stakeholders, then determine the right path forward based on business value, technical feasibility, cost, operational complexity, and strategic importance. You will need to understand the dependencies between cloud services and the underlying physical infrastructure, while also applying strong customer empathy and commercial judgment.

A successful candidate will have experience developing product strategy for complex infrastructure, hyperconverged or cloud platforms, defining hardware or platform requirements, influencing cross-functional teams, and operating in a high-growth, technically complex environment. The candidate should be comfortable working with senior executives, engineering leaders, sales teams, and customers, and should be able to translate ambiguous market and customer needs into clear product direction, execution plans, and measurable outcomes.

  • Translate customer, field, and service team requirements into clear product requirements, business cases, roadmap inputs, and executive-ready recommendations.

  • Represent the Dedicated Cloud hardware roadmap and strategy to internal stakeholders, service teams, field organizations, partners, and customers.

  • Define and manage business and operational metrics for Dedicated Cloud hardware strategy, including deployment cost, scalability, standardization, utilization, serviceability, and time-to-deploy.

  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and execution gaps that could impact Dedicated Cloud deployments, customer commitments, or service roadmap delivery.

  • Act as a customer advocate throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring that Dedicated Cloud hardware platforms meet enterprise, sovereign, regulated, and partner deployment needs.

  • Create product documentation, strategy narratives, executive briefings, roadmap materials, and enablement content to support customer success and internal alignment.

  • Manage internal stakeholders through planning, review, and execution gates to ensure successful delivery of Dedicated Cloud hardware initiatives.

  • Drive large-scale change across multiple Oracle organizations by creating alignment on hardware strategy, investment priorities, and execution plans.

  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure platforms, including compute, storage, networking, GPU infrastructure, data center architecture, or distributed systems.

  • Experience defining product strategy for complex technical platforms, ideally in cloud infrastructure, enterprise hardware, data center systems, or large-scale infrastructure services.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop commercial models, investment cases, roadmap priorities, and product requirements for technically complex offerings.

  • Proven track record of launching or scaling infrastructure, cloud, enterprise software, or hardware-based products in a cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to define and shape business strategy across multiple large product areas with significant technical and operational dependencies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce executive-ready strategy documents, roadmap narratives, and decision recommendations.

  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders across product, engineering, sales, finance, operations, and supply chain organizations.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, drive clarity from ambiguity, and make structured trade-off decisions.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect customer requirements, technical constraints, commercial outcomes, and operational execution.

  • Experience working directly with customers, field teams, partners, or executive stakeholders on strategic product or platform requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related subject area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hardware lifecycle planning, rack-scale systems, data center deployments, supply chain planning, capacity planning, or infrastructure cost modeling.

  • Experience with public cloud, dedicated cloud, sovereign cloud, hybrid cloud, or cloud-at-customer deployment models.
