Full Job Description
Senior Principal Product Manager - Ecosystem, Partnerships & Distribution

About the Team

The Security Product team owns product direction across Norton and Gen's wider security and utility portfolio, working across brands on complex problems at the intersection of threat intelligence, platform evolution, and consumer experience. The team operates with high autonomy, high accountability, and a genuine appetite for ambiguity.

The Role

This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role responsible for Gen Digital's ecosystem strategy - how we protect, grow, and extend our business across external platforms, partners, and emerging distribution channels.

As platform ecosystems, AI, and agentic technologies reshape how consumers access and interact with security products, this role ensures Gen Digital stays ahead - maintaining leadership across existing channels while opening new ones.

What You'll Do

Ecosystem Strategy and Business Continuity

Own Gen Digital's strategy across app stores, operating systems, and device ecosystems. Continuously assess platform policy changes, API shifts, and capability updates and translate them into clear product implications before competitors do. Protect and grow our core business by managing platform risks and opportunities proactively, ensuring our products remain compatible, performant, and differentiated.

Partnership and Capability Extension

Gen Digital builds market-leading scam protection, identity defence, and security products - and extends those capabilities further through strategic external partnerships. Identify and develop partnerships with chip vendors for on-device intelligence and deepfake protection, call protection providers, DNS and network partners for safe browsing, and financial ecosystem players for fraud protection. Co-develop integrated experiences across device, network, and platform layers, and define partnership models - technical integrations, co-innovation, and joint go-to-market - that scale.

Distribution in an AI-Driven World

Consumers are increasingly interacting with technology through AI platforms and agentic interfaces rather than traditional app stores. Identify and define new distribution opportunities across AI platforms including OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, and Anthropic, and across agentic ecosystems and marketplaces. Develop strategies to embed Gen Digital protections into AI-native workflows and ensure Gen is positioned early as the interface layer evolves.

Industry Representation and Influence

Represent Gen Digital in key industry forums including Microsoft Ignite, Google I/O, GASA, and the Aspen Institute. Advocate for consumer safety standards, fair platform policies, and security-forward ecosystem design. Build the external credibility to shape industry direction and regulatory frameworks.

Cross-functional Leadership

Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy, and GTM teams around ecosystem strategy. Act as the bridge between external partners and internal execution teams, and lead effectively in high-ambiguity, high-stakes situations where direction is being defined, not just followed.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in consumer technology or security product management - you understand how products reach and serve real users, and you use that lens in every strategic decision.

Deep understanding of platform dynamics across app stores, operating systems, and device ecosystems, including the external dependencies and constraints that come with them.

Demonstrated ability to build and nurture strategic partnerships that materially extend product capability.

Track record of anticipating ecosystem shifts and translating them into product strategy and execution.

Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience working across complex external relationships.

Exposure to AI platforms or emerging distribution models is a strong advantage.

What's Next

If this role resonates, we'd welcome a conversation. When you apply, along with your CV please share a short note covering:

What consumer products you've worked on and the impact you drove, users, revenue, retention, whatever moved the needle.

A partnership or ecosystem relationship you owned and what it unlocked for the product or business.

What's drawing you to this space right now, platforms, AI distribution, consumer security, or all of the above.

Our recruitment team and hiring manager review every application together before reaching out to arrange an initial conversation , a chance to explore your background, what's compelling you to Gen, and whether there's a strong mutual fit.
