The ideal candidate will be responsible for:• Leading the development of strategic pricing proposals, budgets, and alternative fee arrangements for client pitches, RFPs, and complex matters.
• Building sophisticated pricing models and profitability analyses to evaluate staffing leverage, realization, fee structures, and revenue opportunities.
• Advising attorneys and firm leadership on pricing strategies, assumptions, risks, approval requirements, and alternative fee structures.
• Conducting competitive market benchmarking and rate analyses to support pricing strategy, proposal positioning, and rate-setting decisions.
• Developing reporting and analytical insights that identify trends, profitability drivers, risks, and opportunities across clients, matters, and practices.
• Serving as a subject matter resource on pricing policies, governance, approval processes, and pricing best practices.
• Delivering training, educational materials, and strategic guidance that strengthen pricing discipline and profitability awareness throughout the firm.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four or more years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, budgeting, proposal modeling, or profitability management, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Expert-level Excel and financial modeling skills, including advanced functions, large data analysis, and complex scenario modeling.
• Proven ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations for attorneys and leadership.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with experience influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Ability to independently manage multiple complex projects while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
• Experience with pricing, budgeting, business intelligence, benchmarking, and reporting tools; legal industry pricing experience strongly preferred.
Pay Range for Candidates in New York, NY $115,000 - $135,000 per year

CORE REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Skills & Technical Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience conducting financial and pricing analysis, preparing reports, and developing/analyzing matter budgets and proposal data. Experience in law firm or professional services pricing strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expert-level Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, Power Query and/or advanced modeling).
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing budgets, reporting, and modeling for proposals and/or ongoing engagements.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for attorneys and business stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product.
- High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality regarding firm and client financial matters.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Familiarity with Aderant products.
- Exposure to Iridium Pricing/Budgeting and/or Financial Dashboard tools.
- Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Experience with Information Builders and SQL Server Reporting.
