Piping Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior-Level) to support the design and analysis of piping systems and equipment for complex engineering projects. This role is responsible for performing integrated engineering analyses, developing and reviewing design documents, and ensuring compliance with applicable engineering standards, quality requirements, and project schedules. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop piping system designs, resolve technical challenges, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Location- The primary job locations include Lenexa, KS; Oak Ridge, TN; Lonetree, CO; Houston, TX; Aiken, SC. Occasional hybrid work permitted in coordination with your supervisor.
Responsibilities- Perform integrated engineering analyses to support project execution and meet established schedules.
- Develop, review, and approve engineering designs, specifications, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Create and review design concepts, models, and layouts for piping systems and equipment.Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within assigned areas of responsibility.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, quality assurance requirements, and project procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, fabricators, and other stakeholders to develop effective design solutions.
- Support the preparation and review of PFDs, P&IDs, piping isometrics, pipe support details, and general arrangement drawings.
- Participate in design reviews, verification activities, and interdisciplinary coordination efforts.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
- Mid-Level: Minimum 5 years of relevant piping design experience.
- Senior-Level: Minimum 15 years of relevant piping design experience.
- Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3 piping codes.
- Familiarity with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and industry standards applicable to nuclear-grade equipment.
- Experience using Bentley AutoPIPE and working with 3D models for piping analysis and stress evaluations.
- Knowledge of engineering design principles, including design verification, interference analysis, GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and equipment layout considerations.
- Experience collaborating with engineering and fabrication teams to develop detailed designs and drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review piping-related engineering deliverables.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
Preferred Qualifications- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience supporting nuclear, power generation, or other highly regulated industries.

Base Compensation: $152,000/yr - $159,000/yr
