Sr. Oracle ERP Systems Analyst

The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in Oracle Fusion Financials who will play a key role within the Finance Systems Analyst team. This individual will lead and support system implementations, enhancements, quarterly updates, and other complex technical projects. They will collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, best-practice solutions. This role requires strong independent judgment and advanced problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions
  • Oracle Fusion ERP Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion ERP primarily responsible for the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Account Receivables (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Management modules
    • Use Oracle Fusion knowledge to build, test, and deploy functionality and system improvements
    • Analyze complex business processes and design best practice solutions based upon Oracle Fusion ERP capabilities
    • Examine and maintain awareness of trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques to address complex Oracle Fusion ERP issues
    • Continuously increase both Finance process and Finance application/tools knowledge
    • Participate in user group meetings/conferences
  • Production Support:
    • Possess a strong understanding of finance business practices and communicate effectively with finance partners
    • Provide support for Finance systems functionality, including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results, or process flaws in an agile methodology
    • Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet business and systems requirements
  • Process Improvement:
    • Propose process improvement by investigating, identifying, and implementing Oracle Fusion features not currently in use; identifying areas where business processes depart from best practice and recommend solutions
    • Document end-to-end finance business processes and propose improvements aligned with best practices
    • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation
    • Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g., accounting, accounts payable, payroll, procurement)
    • Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate enhancements and application updates
  • Reporting
    • Maintain and support a variety of reports, data models, and dashboards using appropriate reporting tools
    • Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs
    • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Develop user procedures, guidelines, workflows, and module specific configuration documentation in coordination with finance teams
    • Document processes and apply a mindset of continuous improvement towards finance business processes
    • Lead one on one and group presentations training users and peers on processes and Oracle functionality

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of degree and work experience
  • 5 years of Finance or Finance adjacent experience
  • 5 years of Oracle Fusion/ERP Cloud or E-Business Suite experience (General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Grants Management, Subledger Accounting, Procurement, Inventory Management, Time and Labor, Cash Management)
  • 5 years of process documentation and process improvement implementation
  • MS Office 365 Intermediate to Advanced/Expert skills including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Oracle ERP systems and functionality implementation experience
  • Understand ERP module setup, workflows, and configuration

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Over 5 years of experience with Oracle Fusion/ERP Cloud or E-Business Suite experience (General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Grants Management, Subledger Accounting, Procurement, Inventory Management, Time and Labor, Cash Management)
  • 5 years of reporting, data analysis/visualization, dashboard, and integration experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform products for reporting and greater efficiency of dataflows
  • Develop, maintain, and modify OTBI, Data Model, and BI Publisher reports
  • SQL custom report development and modification experience
  • Expert SQL experience; fast formula knowledge is a bonus
  • Java, Concur, and ADP experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This role can work remotely and onsite in a hybrid work environment. We are a Washington State employer, and the primary work location for all Allen Institute employees is 615 Westlake Ave N.; any remote work must be performed in Washington State.

Annualized Salary Range
  • $128,050 - $176,055 *

*Final salary depends on required education for the role, experience, and level of skills relevant to the role, along with work location, where applicable.
