Roles & Responsibilities
Okta Access Gateway Administration
• Administer, maintain, and support the enterprise Okta Access Gateway (OAG) platform.
• Configure and onboard applications into Okta Access Gateway.
• Integrate web-based, legacy, and on-premises applications with modern authentication solutions.
• Support migration of applications from traditional authentication methods to modern Identity providers.
• Manage application authentication, authorization, access control, and user access policies.
• Partner with application teams to define onboarding requirements and implementation approaches.
Identity & Access Management
• Support authentication and access management solutions leveraging:
o Okta Access Gateway
o Okta Workforce Identity
o Microsoft Entra ID
o SAML
o OAuth
o OpenID Connect (OIDC)
o Kerberos
o LDAP
o Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA)
o MFA
o Adaptive Authentication
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, federation, and SSO issues.
• Participate in identity modernization and application transformation initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with Zero Trust and Least Privilege principles.
Application Onboarding & Integration
• Work directly with application owners to onboard new applications onto Okta Access Gateway.
• Perform application assessments and determine appropriate authentication patterns.
• Configure headers, policies, connectors, and access rules required by applications.
• Validate end-to-end authentication and access flows.
• Support application rationalization and modernization efforts.
Operational Support & BAU Activities
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot authentication failures, access issues, application integrations, and connectivity problems.
• Analyze logs and system events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in incident response, problem management, and post-incident reviews.
• Maintain operational runbooks and support documentation.
• Support periodic platform maintenance and upgrades.
Platform Resiliency & Availability
• Ensure high availability and resiliency of Okta Access Gateway infrastructure.
• Monitor platform health, capacity, and performance.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Implement backup and recovery procedures.
• Identify and remediate single points of failure.
• Support infrastructure hardening and security improvement initiatives.
Security & Compliance
• Implement and maintain security controls supporting regulatory and audit requirements.
• Participate in security reviews and remediation activities.
• Support access certification, privileged access, and entitlement governance processes.
• Maintain audit evidence and platform documentation.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and policies.
Monitoring & Automation
• Develop monitoring and alerting capabilities for proactive issue detection.
• Support integration with enterprise logging and monitoring platforms.
• Utilize PowerShell, Python, or automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive automation of repetitive onboarding and operational processes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Partner with IAM architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, cloud teams, and security stakeholders.
• Provide technical consultation and onboarding guidance.
• Participate in project planning, architecture reviews, and operational readiness assessments.
• Contribute to platform strategy and roadmap discussions.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 a year
