Job Description:

The Johnson & Johnson Oncology Communications & Public Affairs team is searching for the best talent to join as a Senior Manager, Global Hematology Communications. This is a hybrid role which can be based in Raritan, NJ or New Brunswick, NJ.

Our Oncology team is focused on the elimination of cancer by advancing ground-breaking science and delivering innovative therapies for patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. We are seeking a strategic, collaborative and highly motivated communications professional to help shape and implement global communications strategies supporting Johnson & Johnson's leadership in multiple myeloma and hematology.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Hematology Communications supports the development and execution of integrated communications strategies for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine's hematology portfolio, with a primary focus on TECVAYLI® (teclistamab-cqyv) and TALVEY® (talquetamab-tgvs).

Reporting to the Director, Global Hematology Communications, this role partners closely with the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO), R&D, Medical Affairs, Public Affairs and communications teams around the globe to advance business priorities, support key data and regulatory landmarks, and strengthen Johnson & Johnson's leadership in multiple myeloma.

The Senior Manager serves as a day-to-day communications lead for assigned assets and contributes to broader disease-area and portfolio communications initiatives, helping translate complex science into compelling, stakeholder-focused communications programs.

Key Responsibilities

Global Communications Strategy & Execution
  • In partnership with the Director, Global Hematology Communications, lead the development and execution of integrated global communications plans for TECVAYLI® and TALVEY®, aligned with franchise priorities and broader hematology communications strategies.
  • Drive communications support for key business achievements, including clinical data read-outs, regulatory approvals, scientific congresses, publications, lifecycle milestones and other critical initiatives.
  • Translate complex clinical and scientific concepts into clear, differentiated and compelling narratives for external partners.
  • Develop communications materials including messaging platforms, media materials, Q&A documents, executive briefing materials, digital content and stakeholder communications.
  • Partner with regional and market communications teams to support alignment and implementation of global communications strategies.

Scientific Communications & External Engagement
  • Support communications planning for major medical congresses
  • Help identify and complete opportunities to elevate Johnson & Johnson's leadership in multiple myeloma through earned media, thought leadership, corporate storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with agency teams to develop and implement integrated communications campaigns and content programs.
  • Support media relations activities, including press release development, media materials, reporter engagement preparation and issue monitoring.

Portfolio Leadership & Market Shaping
  • Partner with the Director, Global Hematology Communications on multiple myeloma disease leadership initiatives and portfolio storytelling efforts.
  • Partner with communications leads across the hematology portfolio to ensure aligned, differentiated and complementary messaging that appropriately positions bispecific therapies within Johnson & Johnson's broader multiple myeloma portfolio strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of integrated narratives that highlight Johnson & Johnson's leadership across the multiple myeloma treatment continuum.
  • Help evolve portfolio narratives and strategies for digital and AI-enabled channels to ensure accurate and consistent representation of Johnson & Johnson's leadership and innovation in multiple myeloma.
  • Support cross-asset communications initiatives that strengthen understanding of the company's innovation strategy and long-term dedication to hematologic malignancies.
  • Collaborate with Public Affairs and cross-functional partners on selected advocacy, awareness and market-shaping programs.

Business and Communications Partnerships
  • Enable best-in-class launches by sharing insights with teams around the world; equips regions and markets with the materials they need to adapt and activate locally
  • Ensures two-way partnership and contributes to forums for standard process sharing between global, regional and market teams
  • Serve as a communications partner to global brand, medical and R&D teams supporting assigned assets.
  • Supervise the external environment, competitive landscape and emerging issues relevant to assigned products and disease areas.
  • Support issues preparedness and response activities in partnership with Communications, Legal, Regulatory and other cross-functional partners.
  • Manage agencies and external vendors to ensure high-quality execution and efficient use of resources.


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Life Sciences or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of communications, public relations, public affairs or related experience.
  • Experience supporting communications programs in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to simplify complex scientific information for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with AI tools to improve efficiency
  • Proven experience managing projects across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence without direct authority.

Preferred
  • Oncology, hematology or specialty biopharmaceutical experience.
  • Experience supporting product communications, scientific communications or data communications.
  • Media relations and issues management experience.
  • Experience working in a global organization and partnering with international collaborators.
  • Agency management experience.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
