How will you fit into the big picture?The Sr. Manager, Consumer Connections serves as the senior international media strategy and governance leader responsible for developing and implementing Hershey's global media ecosystem across International markets. The role oversees the international media agency network, ensuring best-in-class capabilities, processes, systems, planning standards, measurement, and governance to maximize media effectiveness and business impact.
Key responsibilities include establishing strategic media planning frameworks, assessing media plans and investment quality, tracking media performance, conducting ROI analysis, facilitating capability-building and training, and driving adoption of global media best practices. The role partners with regional and market teams to elevate media effectiveness and continuously improve how media investments support brand and business growth around the world.
This role does not directly lead media execution within markets; rather, it serves as the strategic steward of Hershey International's media ecosystem, ensuring agency excellence, media effectiveness, capability building, governance, and continuous improvement across all regions.
What will you do?1. Integrated Media Strategy & Planning
Lead media planning and strategy process and timelines for international markets ensuring business objectives are connected through to regional execution.
2. Media Investment Management
Support media investment planning and optimization decisions by evaluating performance, identifying opportunities, and recommending adjustments that improve effectiveness and efficiency.
3. Agency & Partner Collaboration
Manage day-to-day relationships with media agencies, platform partners, and external vendors. Ensure deliverables are strategic, insight-driven, and aligned with Hershey standards for quality and business impact.
4. Performance Measurement & Optimization
Partner with Marketing Intelligence and analytics teams to evaluate campaign performance across media channels. Translate campaign results, audience insights, and measurement outputs into recommendations that improve future planning and investment decisions.
5. Innovation & Capability Advancement
Explore new media opportunities, measurement approaches, audience strategies, and emerging technologies that strengthen Hershey's consumer connections capabilities. Support test-and-learn initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
6. Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as a strategic partner across Communications Strategy, Brand Marketing, Creative, Commerce, Analytics, and Finance teams. Influence decisions, facilitate alignment, and help drive successful execution across multiple stakeholders.
7. Global Media Oversight
Serve as a consultant and provide oversight of global media strategy, establishing scalable standards that strengthen effectiveness while allowing for local market needs. Set global buying principles and investment guardrails across agency and platform partners, including transparency, brand safety, commercial terms, and operating expectations. Help Dir, Media Strategy lead platform and partner rationalization to reduce fragmentation, improve buying efficiency, unify reporting and audience management, and identify where consolidation can create greater global leverage without limiting locally relevant execution.
Minimum Education & RequirementsExperience
- 7+ years of experience in media strategy, communications planning, integrated marketing, advertising, or related disciplines.
- Experience developing integrated media strategies across digital, social, video, CTV, retail media, and emerging channels.
- Strong understanding of media measurement, attribution, audience planning, campaign performance, and optimization practices.
- Experience working with agency partners and managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven ability to translate consumer insights, data, and business objectives into actionable marketing recommendations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or related field.
- Advanced degree preferred but not required.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $143920 to $179900 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
