Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for a Sr. Mechatronics Engineer to join our Central Engineering team in Milpitas!
Responsibilities
Digital signal processor real-time architecture design of general motion control system
Advanced motion control of multi axis motion system
Servo loop design and tuning for nanometer motion system
Write Python and MATLAB scripts to accelerate tuning process.
Find new control algorithms to improve system performances.
Follow rigorous FW design control methodology with requirements specifications, architecture specifications, and design description as well as verification plans, and test cases.
Partner with the SW and Mechanical teams for stage sub-system design.
Write user documentation that meets the defined quality standards for manufacturing, service as required.
Drive the development, test and integration of complex electrical components and subsystems.
Work with manufacturing, service teams to support a smooth product transition into manufacturing and the field for high precision motion system used in KLA inspection machines
Qualifications
Strong control theory background in linear, nonlinear, digital, robust and adaptive control theory.
5+ years' experience in FW development with C/C++ in a real-time operating system environment.
Experience in firmware programming and SW architecture design.
Experience in servo loop tuning with nanoscale motion of stage.
Experience in the design, development and integration of complex electrical components and subsystems.
Experience in analyzing motion control system requirements and define system architectural partitioning to achieve optimal performances, cost and reliability.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
Base Pay Range: $141,300.00 - $240,200.00 Annually
Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
