Full Job Description
Responsibilities
• Integrate Printed Circuit Boards into an actuation system, including specification of thermal paste and conformal coating
• Integrate press-fit components into a Printed Circuit Board Assembly
• Analyze PCBs, ICs, and press-fit components for mechanical failure modes (deflection, temperature, contamination, humidity)
• Perform 3D modeling and generate drawings of components and assemblies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Coordinate validation efforts with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
• Develop and execute design verification plans and reports (DVP&R)
• Lead and maintain design failure mode and effects analyses (DFMEAs)
• Prototype and iterate designs to validate functionality

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field and 3+ years of experience, OR
• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field and 1+ years of experience.
• First principles approach to problem solving
• PCB Integration experience (mechanical, thermal)
• Deep understanding of Printed Circuit Board and IC mechanical failure modes
• Proficient in 3D/2D CAD (Catia V5/V6 preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Familiarity with PLM systems, BOM structuring, engineering changes, and deviation processes

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range California-Based Applicants: $107,800-$134,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).
