Full Job Description
The Sr. Manager of Talent Development position is forward-thinking, innovative, and focused on the candidate and employee lifecycle at New Era ensuring a positive and rewarding experience for all employees, from hire to exit. This role maintains, manages, tracks, and leads the processes required to provide a great employee growth experience from the moment a candidate applies to a position, through onboarding onto their training & development over the years. As a key member of the human resources team, this role helps to identify and retain employees with a keen focus on brand and culture.

This role will specialize in the employee experience by playing a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and positive environment for our employees while driving continuous education initiatives. This highly visible position will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive training & development programs.

Responsibilities

Talent Development:
  • Develop and lead New Era s end-to-end Training & Development program from onboarding through ongoing development ensuring offerings are aligned with employee needs and the company s brand values
  • Execute the design, development, evolution and delivery of all training & development programs
    • Establish and track evaluation metrics to measure program effectiveness and ROI, using insights to continuously refine and improve development initiatives
    • Prepare reports; highlighting engagement trends, process improvement opportunities, and recommending training needs, among other valuable insights
  • Develop, maintain & host regular training including but not limited to management 101, anti-harassment, onboarding, interviewing effectiveness, competency alignment
  • Manage resources and budgets to ensure effective delivery of curriculum, programs and processes

Performance Management:
  • Manage the entire annual performance review process end-to-end in PerformYard
  • Ensure alignment with business strategy, competencies, culture and behaviors
  • Establish and track evaluation metrics to measure program effectiveness and ROI, using insights to continuously refine and improve development initiatives
  • Conduct training associated with review process focusing on effective goal setting and continuous feedback
  • Drive compliance toward 100% completion aligning with a pay-for-performance model
  • Partner with leadership to identify employee development needs, including growth and promotion plans, as well as performance improvement and corrective action plans

Talent Acquisition:
  • Talent Branding:
    • Develop, create and maintain New Era s talent brand on external websites such as LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. and internal company intranet WORLD.
  • Onboarding:
    • Maintain and continuously evolve the robust New Hire-Day 1 onboarding program
    • Conduct bi-weekly department orientation sessions
    • Conduct regular meetings with new hires to evaluate their orientation and training experiences, address questions, and resolve concerns, identifying opportunities for process enhancements
    • Act as a supportive point of contact for newly hired employees, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and supported throughout their journey at New Era.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant degree preferred
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years dedicated to designing training & development programs focusing on employee development, onboarding and retention programs
  • Thrives in a people-oriented environment and demonstrates a collaborative leadership style across all levels of the organization, promoting employee engagement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated, end-to-end project/program management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles/previous instructional design experience
  • Experience working in a learning and development organization is beneficial
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience preferred
  • Experience with Predictive Index preferred

The salary range for this posted position is $100,000 - $130,000 (plus bonus & benefits) for candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
