Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid

The (Sr.) Manager, Stakeholder Affairs will report through the Governmental and Member Services Division under the guidance and direction of the Executive Director, Member Services.
The (Sr.) Manager, Stakeholder Affairs, will partner with Stakeholder Process & Engagement, Client Management, Membership Process and Services, and Governmental Services to ascertain and understand stakeholder concerns relative to issues before PJM. Working with these teams and others throughout PJM (including PJM senior and executive leadership), the (Sr.) Manager Stakeholder Affairs will be a key contributor to development of strategies for resolution of issues, and development of appropriate messaging strategies.
The (Sr.) Manager Stakeholder Affairs will utilize strong negotiation skills and, in partnership with the Executive Director, Member Services, will engage in on-going communication with PJM teams and stakeholders at all levels to foster relationships. The (Sr.) Manager, Stakeholder Affairs will ensure, in partnership with the Executive Director, Member Services, that PJM takes action to maximize the potential of each relationship.
The (Sr.) Manager, Stakeholder Affairs will partner with the Manager, Stakeholder Process & Engagement to ensure that all committee operations and relationships are managed appropriately, capitalizing on PJM's core capabilities.
The (Sr.) Manager, Stakeholder Affairs will act as secretary to the one or more of the following committees: Members Committee, Market & Reliability Committee and Liaison Committee and ensure all activities of the committees are properly coordinated.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsibility for managing the relationship with current and prospective PJM stakeholder participants and coordination with Stakeholder Process & Engagement to guide them through the committee processes.
  • Providing input and guidance to Manager, Stakeholder Process & Engagement relating to PJM committee structure management.
  • Participation in developing responses to inquiries from PJM participants, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Providing leadership, counsel and customer service to all PJM Stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance and support for proactively addressing committee needs with timely, result-oriented, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Providing leadership to team members in the completion of activities and assignments that support present and future needs related to the Stakeholder Affairs.
  • Capitalizing on strong communication to build and strengthen Member and stakeholder relationships.
  • Managing the expectations of the various interests represented by stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating independence, autonomy and a non-biased approach for the completion of stakeholder process work.
  • Assisting in solving new and complex business problems and developing innovative strategies to enhance PJM's value proposition to stakeholders.
  • Promoting an environment at PJM that is sensitive to ethical concerns and diversity, equity and inclusion through compliance with PJM's Core Values.
  • Present complex issues to senior leadership and stakeholders in support of a collaborative decision making process.
  • Advance the vision of the Governmental and Member Services Division and reinforce pride throughout PJM.

Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:

  • BA degree Business Administration or equivalent work experience
