Full Job Description
As a Senior Organizational Project Manager supporting Alcon R&D, you will help translate enterprise and R&D priorities into executable roadmaps, repeatable ways of working, governance routines, adoption plans, and sustained outcomes.
This role is on-site in our Fort Worth, Texas location and a typical day would include:
• Supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives from vision through execution, implementation, adoption, and sustainment.
• Partnering with sponsors, stakeholders, functional leaders, and project teams to align scope, priorities, risks, resources, decisions, and execution plans across strategic initiatives.
• Creating and maintaining project charters, roadmaps, project plans, timelines, forecasts, budgets, governance plans, and decision materials.
• Driving fit-for-purpose project standards, stage gates, templates, dashboards, reporting routines, risk tracking, dependency management, and action follow-through.
• Facilitating governance forums, leadership updates, escalation discussions, and decision-making routines to enable transparent execution and practical rigor.
• Monitoring project performance against timing, budget, scope, adoption, risks, dependencies, and success measures; identifying tradeoffs that may impact broader organizational priorities.
• Designing and supporting communication, stakeholder engagement, change management, and adoption plans that help project teams move from alignment to execution.
• Establishing feedback loops, lessons learned, sustainment mechanisms, and continuous improvement opportunities that contribute to repeatable, scalable ways of working for the Strategic Programs Office.
• Supporting AI-enabled and digitally enabled transformation initiatives through intake, prioritization, governance, delivery cadence, decision rights, adoption metrics, capability building, and value realization.
• Role modeling/coaching project teams and stakeholders in practical project management, change management, continuous improvement, workflow redesign, and sustainment practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Formal project management, learning management or change management certification preferred (e.g., PMI, PROSCI, ATD).
• Direct experience supporting internally facing strategic initiatives, business transformation, operating model design, process improvement, integrations, reorganizations, or associate experience initiatives.
• Experience developing roadmaps, governance routines, adoption plans, dashboards, lessons learned, sustainment mechanisms, or continuous improvement practices.
• Experience supporting digitally enabled transformation initiatives, including workflow redesign, capability building, adoption measurement, and value realization.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma methodology (e.g., Green/Black Belt)
• Experience within Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals or similar regulated industry
What You'll Bring to Alcon:
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience
• 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
