PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Manager, Organizational Change Management leads the people-side adoption capability within the Strategy & Transformation Office. This role establishes and operates a repeatable OCM methodology that helps the organization prepare for, adopt, and sustain changes to business processes, systems, roles, ways of working, and operating models. The role ensures major initiatives are supported by change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communication and training plans, readiness measures, and adoption metrics, so transformation outcomes are realized and sustained after delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Builds and Leads the Enterprise OCM Capability

  • Defines and maintains the enterprise change management methodology, standards, templates, and artifacts used across major initiatives.


  • Establishes consistent expectations for change impact assessment, stakeholder analysis, sponsor alignment, readiness planning, communication, training, adoption measurement, and reinforcement.


  • Builds OCM capability across project teams, business leaders, people managers, and change practitioners through coaching, tools, and repeatable practices.


Leads Change Strategy and Adoption Planning

  • Partners with portfolio, architecture, delivery, business, HR, and communications leaders to identify the operational and people impacts of each major initiative.


  • Develops change strategies and plans that support adoption of new processes, systems, roles, policies, organizational structures, and ways of working.


  • Ensures initiatives entering governance and delivery have clear change risks, stakeholder impacts, readiness needs, communication plans, training plans, and adoption success measures.


Drives Stakeholder Engagement, Communication, Training, and Readiness

  • Creates stakeholder maps, engagement plans, sponsor roadmaps, communication plans, training strategies, and readiness assessments for enterprise initiatives.


  • Coaches executives, sponsors, people managers, and project leaders on their roles in leading change and supporting impacted teams through transition.


  • Coordinates with HR, Internal Communications, Training, business leaders, and delivery teams to align messaging, learning, timing, and reinforcement activities.


Measures Adoption and Reinforces Sustained Change

  • Defines adoption, readiness, utilization, proficiency, sentiment, and reinforcement metrics for major initiatives.


  • Monitors change progress and identifies adoption risks, resistance patterns, training gaps, and reinforcement needs.


  • Reports change readiness and adoption health into STO governance forums so adoption outcomes are reviewed alongside delivery, portfolio, and architecture metrics.


Leads OCM Team Operations and Continuous Improvement

  • Plans and manages OCM capacity, work intake, prioritization, and resource assignment across the transformation portfolio.


  • Maintains OCM artifacts, playbooks, lessons learned, and reusable assets to improve consistency and speed across initiatives.


  • Identifies opportunities to improve change governance, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption measurement practices.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May directly supervise change management practitioners, analysts, communications/training resources, or adoption specialists as the function matures. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning and assigning work, coaching and developing staff, setting performance expectations, conducting performance reviews, addressing issues, and managing team capacity and priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required, preferably in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources, Psychology, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.


  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in organizational change management, business transformation, organizational development, communications, training, or related transformation roles.


  • Experience leading change management for enterprise technology, process, operating model, or business transformation initiatives.


  • Experience coaching executives, sponsors, people managers, and project teams through complex organizational change.


CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Prosci Change Management Certification or equivalent OCM credential required. ACMP Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), PMP, SAFe, Agile, or related transformation certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of structured change management methodologies, tools, and practices, including stakeholder analysis, impact assessment, readiness planning, communication, training, adoption, and reinforcement.


  • Ability to translate complex transformation objectives into practical change strategies that help employees understand, adopt, and sustain new ways of working.


  • Excellent executive communication, facilitation, coaching, stakeholder engagement, and influence skills.


  • Strong analytical skills and ability to define and use adoption, readiness, utilization, proficiency, and sentiment metrics to guide interventions.


  • Comfort working across business, technology, HR, communications, training, portfolio, and delivery teams in a matrixed environment.


  • Ability to manage change fatigue, resistance, competing priorities, and stakeholder concerns with sound judgment and practical mitigation plans.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. May be required to lift light objects. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.
