Job Summary

This is a hybrid role 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote. This role is based in the Downers Grove, IL office.

This position is responsible for managing account management staff in the continued and increased market growth by negotiating renewals or selling products and services to existing customers, understanding customer needs, and providing customer support. Assist in the development of retention strategy and responsible for the implementation of initiatives. Manage daily operations and monitor department and individual results and provide direction to meet/exceed goals. Responsible for building relationships and representing the company to external stakeholders including brokers and accounts. Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.

Job Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives responsible for servicing and retaining large market employer groups.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, performance management, mentoring, and professional development for Level I and Level II Account Executives.
• Partner with brokers, consultants, and key client stakeholders to strengthen strategic relationships and resolve complex service issues.
• Lead annual account reviews, renewal presentations, and strategic planning meetings with clients and brokers.
• Analyze financial performance, utilization trends, and healthcare cost drivers to develop recommendations for clients.
• Collaborate with Sales, Underwriting, Finance, Clinical, Product, and Operations teams to drive customer outcomes.
• Support sales initiatives by delivering executive-level presentations and demonstrating product and service value propositions.
• Drive execution of retention strategies and monitor key performance indicators to ensure business objectives are achieved.
• Oversee preparation and presentation of financial analyses, utilization reports, and renewal recommendations.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex customer service, operational, and relationship management issues.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor Degree OR 4 years managed care account management experience.
  • Current, valid State Insurance License.
  • Minimum of 7 years successful record in managed care account management/account servicing experience.
  • Sales/marketing strategy development experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of managed care products, sales techniques, sales processes, and trends.
  • Management of complex managed care accounts.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.
  • Experience addressing customer needs and make sound decisions.
  • Experience building strong customer relations.
  • Negotiation, presentation, sales, and financial skills.
  • Verbal and written communications skills, including business writing.
  • PC proficiency including Excel and PowerPoint and sales databases.


PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Management experience.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range
$98,300.00 - $147,300.00
