Job Summary

The Sr. Manager - IT Asset Management (ITAM) is responsible for leading the transformation, design, and maturation of SHI's enterprise IT Asset Management program across hardware, software, and cloud assets. This role drives the evolution of ITAM from current-state processes to a scalable, governance-driven operating model managing the full lifecycle-from procurement through disposal-while optimizing cost, compliance, and operational efficiency.

This leader partners closely with the ITAM Process Lead and cross-functional IT teams to modernize workflows within ServiceNow and elevate ITAM maturity across the organization, with a strong emphasis on advancing both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) capabilities.

Role Description
  • Lead transformation initiatives to evolve ITAM capabilities into an enterprise-grade operating model
  • Design and implement end-to-end asset lifecycle processes (procurement 12 inventory 12 deployment 12 maintenance 12 retirement)
  • Build and mature ITAM capabilities across:
    • Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
    • Software Asset Management (SAM)
    • SaaS and cloud asset management
  • Drive governance and standardization of HAM processes, including inventory accuracy, refresh cycles, and lifecycle controls
  • Establish and mature SAM capabilities, including license management, compliance, reclamation, and optimization
  • Own ServiceNow ITAM strategy, including HAM Pro, SAM Pro, workflow automation, and CMDB integration
  • Identify and eliminate process gaps; standardize and scale workflows
  • Partner with the ITAM Process Lead on roadmap development and transformation milestones
  • Establish governance, policies, and compliance controls
  • Drive asset data quality, normalization, and visibility improvements
  • Collaborate across IT, finance, procurement, and security teams
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure performance and maturity
  • Modernize ITAM practices and embed them into IT operations

Skill Level Requirements
  • Deep ServiceNow expertise, including HAM Pro, SAM Pro, and CMDB integration
  • Proven ability to design and transform ITAM workflows within ServiceNow
  • Strong experience in Hardware Asset Management (inventory, lifecycle tracking, refresh planning)
  • Strong experience in Software Asset Management (license compliance, optimization, SaaS management)
  • Deep understanding of full asset lifecycle management across hardware and software
  • Experience managing vendor licensing and audit readiness
  • Demonstrated process transformation and operating model design experience
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and analytics capabilities
  • Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM integration points

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
