Pay Range: $141,916.84 - $200,000.00 annually
*Individual compensation is determined based on several factors, including job-related skills and qualifications, education, relevant experience, work location, internal equity considerations, and the overall responsibilities of the position.
Job SummaryThe Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading the delivery, reliability, scalability, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure platforms and services. This role leads infrastructure engineering and technical teams, drives lifecycle and resiliency improvements, and ensures infrastructure initiatives align with IT strategy and business priorities.
This position ensures core infrastructure technologies are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs. The Senior Manager partners directly with the Senior Manager, IT Operations, along with Security, Architecture, business stakeholders, and vendor partners, to coordinate operational readiness, service performance, incident response, and continuous improvement while developing a high-performing IT Infrastructure team.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
- Leads managers and teams responsible for infrastructure engineering, network services, cloud platforms, and core infrastructure technologies.
- Provides leadership, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and professional development for managers, supervisors, and individual contributors.
- Communicates priorities, expectations, and operational performance effectively across IT teams, leadership, and business stakeholders.
- Oversees the architecture, engineering, lifecycle, availability, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure platforms and services.
- Ensures the reliability, scalability, security, and effective delivery of core infrastructure services.
- Provides leadership oversight for identity and access management, including governance, authentication, privileged access, directory services, and related operational controls.
- Defines and maintains infrastructure standards, architecture patterns, lifecycle practices, technical controls, and supporting documentation.
- Leads infrastructure lifecycle management activities, including maintenance, upgrades, patching, modernization, asset management, and technical debt reduction.
- Partners with Architecture, Security, and other IT teams.
- Partners directly with the Senior Manager, IT Operations to align infrastructure engineering with IT Service Management practices.
- Uses infrastructure health, capacity, reliability, and lifecycle metrics to identify risk, guide investment, and drive continuous improvement in partnership with IT Operations.
- Supports enterprise resilience, disaster recovery, and operational recovery objectives.
- Partners with Security, Business Continuity, Architecture, and business stakeholders to support enterprise incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs.
- Provides infrastructure leadership and technical readiness for recovery planning, disaster recovery exercises, cyber incident simulations, and business continuity testing in coordination with IT Operations and other enterprise partners.
- Drives improvements in infrastructure automation, observability, capacity management, technical resiliency, and engineering practices.
- Supports planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for Infrastructure & Operations.
- Manages vendor relationships, contracts, service agreements, and third-party performance.
- Identifies opportunities to optimize costs, reduce risk, improve operational efficiency, and enhance service value.
- Makes decisions within established organizational policies, budgets, and delegated authority levels.
- Executes infrastructure plans and priorities aligned with the broader Infrastructure & Operations strategy.
- Collaborates with the Senior Manager, IT Operations and other stakeholders to coordinate infrastructure delivery, operational handoffs, support readiness, and successful execution of shared departmental priorities.
- Supports operational readiness for major technology initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and business transformation efforts.
- Remains informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Non-essential Functions
- Participates in IT leadership planning sessions, vendor briefings, and technology roadmap discussions.
- Supports special projects and enterprise initiatives as assigned.
- Assists with development and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, standards, and operating documentation.
- Represents Infrastructure & Operations in cross-functional meetings, audits, and business continuity planning activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in information technology, infrastructure, operations, and/or service delivery.
- 5+ years of experience leading technical teams, managers, or operational service functions.
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure platforms, engineering delivery, technical lifecycle programs, modernization initiatives, and vendor relationships.
- Working knowledge of ITSM practices and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with IT Operations on incident, problem, change, service level, and operational readiness processes.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, asset management, vendor management, and operational planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, manage competing priorities, and drive measurable improvement.
- Experience in a large enterprise IT environment preferred.
- Experience leading infrastructure modernization, cloud, network, endpoint, or IT operations transformation initiatives preferred.
- Experience with Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Cyber Incident Response, or Enterprise Incident Response programs preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations, distribution, supply chain, manufacturing, or customer-facing technology environments preferred.
ITIL v3, ITIL 4, PMP, Microsoft, Cisco, cloud, cybersecurity, or related certifications preferred. - Experience using ITSM, monitoring, endpoint management, cloud management, and operational reporting tools preferred.
