  • The Sr. Manager, Corporate Development will lead a team of analysts responsible for a portfolio of strategic projects, investment transactions, and partnership opportunities
  • This job is a member of the Corporate Development and Planning team within our Finance division.


What you'll do

  • Leads cross-departmental teams (matrix organization) in partnership with business units to identify and pursue strategic opportunities
  • Manages large and complex projects from end-to-end, using project plans and performance metrics to ensure timely and successful completion
  • Partners with business units in developing strategic plans and frameworks with particular focus upon industry structure, vertical integration, and new business model/technology applications
  • Researches and analyzes business opportunities ensuring a thorough understanding of the target industry, key participants, competitive trends
  • Assesses, analyzes, structures, negotiates, documents and executes corporate investment transactions
  • Works closely with internal (Legal, Commercial, Accounting, Tax) and external advisors (Consultants, Bankers, Lawyers)
  • Facilitates alignment across senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of goals, priorities, and outcomes
  • Creates executive and Board level presentation materials providing thorough assessment of opportunities, risks, benefits, and alternatives
  • Delegates or assigns specific project tasks and functional responsibility in a collaborative and effective manner

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Master of Business Administration, or similar degree
  • 4 years of prior work experience in finance or corporate development roles
  • 2 years of prior work experience in the airline (or related) industry
  • Prior managerial experience
  • Experience in venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, investment transactions, or private equity

  • Ability to assess opportunities, structure solutions, and effectively execute project plans
  • Ability to form consensus and work with departments throughout the company through collaboration
  • Ability to demonstrate clear leadership qualifications managing large projects with direct interaction with executive leaders
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion for innovation, speed to market, and team-based solution development
  • Ability to build relationships with a broad range of experienced professionals - partnering with management and leaders throughout the business
  • Ability to work with the leadership team to identify, plan, and execute strategic initiatives
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple large scale projects on an ongoing basis and adjust priorities, as necessary, to meet shifting deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work with leaders to identify opportunities for strengthening the way we do business
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
