Main Purpose of Job
The Senior Category Leadership Manager (Advisor) plays a crucial role in developing and executing the customer's OMNI category strategic plan. This position is responsible for leading a team of Managers and Category Analysts focused on Category Advisorships, providing coaching and guidance to enhance their strategic thinking and drive category growth, as well as ensuring effective execution of the modular relay draw.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Category Advisorship team, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop team members in category management principles to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  • Proactively evaluate customer business needs while guiding the team in delivering actionable reporting, insights, and market analysis to support customer decision-making.
  • Oversee the development of OMNI Strategic Category plans in collaboration with customers to drive growth.
  • Provide coaching on leveraging insights technology to uncover customer-specific category insights that support the modular relay strategy and execution processes.
  • Foster internal relationships to gather customer-specific insights and drive project initiatives while effectively managing budgetary needs for insights and additional tools.
  • Ownership of team member 1:1 meetings, performance management, and related managerial responsibilities, as well as coaching, weekly priorities and project management.


Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Professional category advisor experience on the Walmart and/or Sam's account is required
• Direct management of a team of category professionals required, with an ability to lead, train and develop others
• Detailed knowledge and experience with Walmart and/or Sam's Modular processes and how to drive category growth through strategic thought leadership
