Full Job Description
The University of Miami Health System ("UHealth") Facilities Operations & Planning Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Manager, Building Facilities in Miami.

The Senior Manager, Building Facilities manages complex functions of building operations and maintenance of the assigned facilities. Further, the Senior Manager, Building Facilities ensures facility procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Produces and maintains various facility management reports.
  • Oversees management of capital projects.
  • Researches and implements new processes and technology to improve operational efficiency.
  • Reviews budget reports and identifies opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Inspects facilities on a periodic basis for quality assurance.
  • Identifies all existing and potential operational problems, and makes proactive recommendations.
  • Administers appropriate disciplinary action, when appropriate.
  • Provides a mandatory and prompt response to emergency situations.
  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required

  • Organizational Development: Ability to implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, and manage change.
  • Financial Oversight: Knowledge of financial operations and management.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
