About the Role

Scout Motors is redefining the future of all-electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs. As Senior Manager, ADAS, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and delivering advanced driver assistance capabilities that align with Scout's brand promise, safety standards, and long-term technology vision.

You will be responsible for ADAS strategy, technical execution, organizational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration ensuring the development of robust, compliant, and customer-focused ADAS features across current and future vehicle platforms.
What you'll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Define and own the ADAS roadmap and long-term strategy, aligned with Scout Motors' product vision and business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing ADAS organization, including managers and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Develop and execute staffing plans, organizational structures, and capability roadmaps as the team scales.
  • Serve as the primary ADAS representative in executive leadership forums, board-level discussions, and key technical decision-making processes.
  • Manage the ADAS budget, including planning, tracking, justification, and proactive communication of risks or unplanned changes.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders (Systems, Software, Hardware, Validation, Safety, Regulatory, Product) to define ADAS feature content, system requirements, and vehicle-level specifications.
  • Provide strategic oversight of testing, validation, calibration, and release processes to ensure performance, safety, robustness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all ADAS systems meet applicable functional safety, vehicle safety, and regulatory standards, engaging with regulatory bodies and external partners as necessary.
  • Establish scalable processes, governance, and metrics that enable predictable delivery of ADAS programs within timing, scope, and quality targets.

Location & Travel Expectations:
  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
  • This role requires in-person presence at the Scout Motors office four (4) days per week, with one (1) flexible workday.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support company events, supplier engagements, testing activities, or industry forums.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of automotive experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles with direct responsibility for ADAS development.
  • Deep technical expertise in ADAS architectures, features, and automotive safety systems.
  • Demonstrated success in building, leading, and scaling technical teams, with the ability to inspire, develop talent, and drive accountability.
  • Strong understanding of ADAS calibration, validation, testing methodologies, and system-level performance trade-offs.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and influence at the executive and cross-functional leadership levels.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for electric vehicles, innovation, and shaping the future of sustainable transportation.

Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience within the Volkswagen Group, particularly in ADAS or automated driving programs.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $190,000.00 - $230,000.00
