Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience with IBM Mainframe technologies including JCL, COBOL, SQL, and DB2.
• In-depth knowledge of IMS and related design and development practices.
• Proficient in using tools like INSYNC, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and VSCode is essential.
• Strong understanding of DB2 objects and their processing capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to guide junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to learn independently.

Responsibilities

• Analyze IMS Segments to create and execute detailed design.
• Lead junior developers through end-to-end field mapping and code deployment.
• Develop, unit test, and deploy mainframe code efficiently.
• Collaborate using tools like Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide innovative solutions to problems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot databases and ensure optimal performance of DB2 objects.
• Adapt and improve processes in a dynamic pod environment with varying levels of experience.
