Full Job Description
Introduction to the Team

The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our customer-first mindset focuses on developing products that encourage loyalty and repeat business from our travelers and partners. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to achieve growth and results for our customers and company.

Expedia Technology teams partner with our Product teams to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction.

The AI Learning & Knowledge Enablement team helps frontline employees learn, access performance support, and apply knowledge effectively. We combine learning strategy, content design, knowledge operations, technology, and responsible AI practices to create scalable solutions that improve performance across Expedia Group.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Determine whether a performance gap requires a course, in-the-flow support, a knowledge solution, or no build at all.
  • Establish standards, templates, and quality gates that enable contributors, subject matter experts, contractors, and AI-assisted authors to produce high-quality content.
  • Design and develop courses directly while contributing across learning content, communications, digests, and knowledge operations.
  • Lead intake, triage, delegation, project planning, and lifecycle management for an assigned portfolio of work.
  • Translate source material into learning strategies, storyboards, and build specifications for contributors and contractor teams.
  • Govern AI-assisted content for accuracy, currency, discoverability, source traceability, and safe use by AI systems and agents.
  • Evaluate new learning and content tools, lead proof-of-concept efforts, and recommend investments when existing platforms do not meet business needs.
  • Serve as the technical liaison with Platforms, translating technology decisions into operational impacts for both teams.
  • Identify opportunities to automate the team's workflows and lead implementation of resulting efficiency improvements.
  • Design scenario-based and in-the-flow practice experiences when they provide greater value than passive course content.
  • Use performance signals and governed knowledge to set priorities and continuously improve solutions.

Experience and Qualifications

Required
  • Applied knowledge of adult learning theory and its use in determining what solution to build.
  • Hands-on instructional design and course development experience.
  • Sound judgment in evaluating content quality, prioritization, and business value.
  • Systems thinking, with the ability to anticipate how content, tooling, and process decisions affect adjacent teams.
  • Ability to execute clearly defined work and independently bring ambiguous requests to a focused solution.
  • Experience organizing and maintaining content in systems such as GitHub and Confluence.
  • Solid project management skills, including intake, triage, delegation, and plan maintenance.
  • Experience evaluating content for AI readiness, including accuracy, source traceability, and machine usability.
  • Ability to identify practical opportunities to use AI and automation to improve team workflows.
  • Proficient stakeholder management, prioritization, negotiation, de-escalation, and leadership communication skills.
  • Experience setting standards for others while continuing to contribute directly to deliverables.

Preferred
  • Experience designing in-the-flow performance support using digital adoption or learning platforms.
  • Experience evaluating or piloting learning and content tools outside an existing platform stack.
  • Experience creating content for the travel industry, particularly flights or lodging.
  • Working knowledge of technical writing and AI-enabled content maintenance.
  • Experience designing conversations or scenarios for AI-simulated practice environments.
