The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience designing and managing enterprise virtualization platforms in highly available environments
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise storage architecture, data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
  • Expertise administering and optimizing Windows Server infrastructure and core platform services
  • Involvement in automating infrastructure processes using scripting and modern management tools
  • Thorough understanding of identity and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID, modern authentication, and Zero Trust security principles
  • Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments spanning on-premises and cloud platforms
  • Ability to lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, migrations, upgrades, and performance optimization efforts
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical and business teams


Primary Duties

1. Designs, integrates, enhances, and secures the server, storage, network, virtualization, compliance, process automation, and application software infrastructure and associated administration and maintenance plans across a complex stack of on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud infrastructures, ensuring industry-best practices and changing demands are achieved.

2. Assists, mentors, and provides technical direction, leadership, guidance, and support for Systems Engineers and other IT staff.

3. Provides direction and guidance for technical information collection, planning, analyses, and standards development for the administration and maintenance processes and prioritizations for the enterprise infrastructure.

4. Analyzes, forecasts, and presents to IT management reports on enterprise infrastructure capacity and performance for regular reviews ensuring level agreements are achieved.

5. Creates and approves technical document libraries and presentation of technical documentation that provides IT staff and management the details of the enterprise infrastructure in adherence to cyber security, regulatory, and Enterprise Architectural standards.

6. Reviews and guides research of technical information relating to changes in Information Technology-related disciplines, regulations, trends, cyber security, and infrastructure management. Provides recommendations for changes or enhancements to IT management and Enterprise Architecture.

7. Develops and manages execution and reporting of results of all scheduled disaster recovery implementations, maintenance and testing activities ensuring that the applications meet RPO/RTO, cyber security, and regulatory requirements.

8. Reviews and approves development, organization, scheduling and presentation of formal/informal training and documentation regarding enterprise infrastructure processes and procedures.

9. Maintains a working relationship with outside organizations, partners, and other resources to enhance the IT infrastructure and assure the infrastructure meets service level agreements and changing demands.

10. Organizes and directs the efforts of internal IT staff or external technical or vendor support teams to provide the highest levels of design, integration, implementation support, and problem resolution activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and four years of experience in computer programming and operating systems analysis; or equivalent.

Communication Skills
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals.

Numeric Skills
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.

Computer Skills
Requires a high level of computer skills to use various software packages as well as a familiarity with hardware configurations to perform systems administration.

Physical Demands
1. Ability to lift 47 pounds from the ground to 5 inches. (Ex: lifting equipment) 2. Ability to lift 25 pounds from 56 inches to 72 inches. (Ex: lifting servers and equipment) 3. Ability to lift 25 pounds from the ground to 57 inches. (Ex: lifting batteries and equipment) 4. Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds. (Ex: lifting and carrying ladder) 5. Ability to ascend/descend 8 rungs on a ladder. 6. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch. 7. Ability to generate 35-foot pounds of upward force. (Ex. lifting floor tiles)

Work Conditions
Works in an office environment.
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
