Job Description

The Senior Change and IT Release Analyst is responsible for governing and executing the IT Change Management process, ensuring changes are effectively evaluated, authorized, and implemented with minimal risk to the organization. This role partners with IT teams and vendors to drive quality, accountability, and continuous improvement in change practices.

This role is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and actively contribute to the evolution of the Change Management function, including influencing process improvements, platform enhancements, and cross-team adoption of best practices.  

What You’ll Do  

  • Ensure ITIL Service Transition activities are governed, executed, and supported in alignment with the ITIL service model

  • Drive process simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement across change and release enablement practices

  • Collaborate on ServiceNow enhancements, including workflow improvements, automation opportunities, and reporting capabilities

  • Partner with engineering and development teams to evolve change and release practices, supporting increased efficiency, automation, and alignment with modern delivery models

  • Monitor and report on key Change Management metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership

  • Support audit and compliance activities throughaccurate, complete, and defensible documentation

  • Facilitate CAB meetings, ensuring effective decision-making, readiness, and clear stakeholder communication

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to business partners and team members, providing guidance on change and release processes

  • Review andvalidatechange records for completeness, accuracy, CI alignment, and appropriate riskclassification

  • Monitor and report on key metrics andprovideactionable insights toleadership

  • Support audit and compliance activities with clear, defensible documentation

What You Bring    

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) 

  • 5+ years of experience in relatedfield.

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Bonus Points    

  • Experience working in a hybrid model with internal teams and managed service providers 

  • Experience facilitating CAB or similar governance forums 

  • Familiarity with CMDB and CI relationships 

  • Experience driving process improvements or platform enhancements

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets,  licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs. 

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
 

$107,901.00 - $172,642.00
