Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:Onsite 4 -Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Research and implementation of solutions involving enterprise wireless technology. Develop innovation of ongoing enterprise networking designs ranging from administrative offices, retail, hospitality, and manufacturing facilities that will provide the capabilities and performance that our customers require.

This is a technical position that will be seen as a subject matter expert within the wireless domain of networking. As the technical advisor of the design, implementation, and maintenance of networking systems and/or programs, increasing business effectiveness while solving problems. This person will be expected to prepare strategies that align with business goals, while delivering value and financial planning on a global scale for wireless technology. Having the capability to communicate and present to upper management is a key skill. As a wireless engineer, the expectation is to work closely with a managed service partner to assist with monitoring, procedures, and technical support mentorship in the wireless domain.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Skills
  • Champion hardware/software standards and architectures. Develop, evaluate, and provide direction related to wireless best practices and architectures.
  • Assess business and applications requirements for corporate data and voice networks
  • Provide in-depth Infrastructure and wireless security knowledge for manufacturing locations with respect to design, implementation, and ongoing support to ensure strategic alignment between Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams.
  • Develop and maintain policy documentation related to wireless standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot network architecture and make recommendations for enhancements
  • Provide level-4 incident support and troubleshooting to the MSP when required
  • Prepare, review, and approve wireless RF surveys and interpret results

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Security, Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
  • 4+ years' experience in Infrastructure and Network technologies.
  • Significant depth of expertise and track record of accomplishments in two or more IT technology areas.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin, French or Mexican Spanish is a strong plus.
  • Cisco networking certifications a plus.
  • ITIL Foundations certification is required of all Infrastructure personnel; Kohler Company will provide necessary training and testing.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
