About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking
Senior Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our Arkansas City, KS facility.
This role is a critical business partner to site leadership, responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring compliance across all HR functions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for building high-performing teams.
What You'll Do- Lead all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Oversee recruiting and staffing efforts to attract and retain top talent
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA)
- Manage employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns
- Drive performance management processes and employee development programs
- Administer compensation and benefits programs
- Develop and implement training, engagement, and retention initiatives
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems
- Conduct exit interviews and use insights to improve retention strategies
- Support and enforce organizational policies and procedures
Safety & Compliance- Lead workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations
- Promote a safe, productive, and compliant work environment
Leadership Responsibilities- Provide leadership for HR programs supporting approximately 300 employees
- Supervise a small HR team
- Support a 24/7 operation, including off-shift availability as needed
What You'll NeedRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and HR best practices
- Proven ability to partner with leadership and drive business results
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in HR, Business, Public Administration, or related field
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
