About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our Arkansas City, KS facility.

This role is a critical business partner to site leadership, responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring compliance across all HR functions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for building high-performing teams.
What You'll Do
  • Lead all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Oversee recruiting and staffing efforts to attract and retain top talent
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA)
  • Manage employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns
  • Drive performance management processes and employee development programs
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs
  • Develop and implement training, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems
  • Conduct exit interviews and use insights to improve retention strategies
  • Support and enforce organizational policies and procedures
Safety & Compliance
  • Lead workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations
  • Promote a safe, productive, and compliant work environment
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for HR programs supporting approximately 300 employees
  • Supervise a small HR team
  • Support a 24/7 operation, including off-shift availability as needed
What You'll Need
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to partner with leadership and drive business results
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in HR, Business, Public Administration, or related field
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
