Certified Sr. Histotechnician A leading clinical research organization is searching for a Certified Sr. Histotechnician to join a high-impact team working across clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic research. You'll work hands-on with advanced platforms and collaborate with scientists and project teams driving meaningful breakthroughs!
***Must be certified!*** Pay: $37-$54/hr DOE
Schedule: M-F 8a-5pm
Location: Houston, TX
What You'll Do - Tissue Processing & Microtomy - Embed, trim, and section tissue at required thicknesses with accuracy and consistency.
- Support accessioning, frozen sections, grossing assistance, fixation, dehydration, embedding, microtomy, decalcification, coverslipping, and routine H&E staining.
- Run IHC protocols using Leica Bond III and Ventana systems; assist with assay setup, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Leica Bond III and Roche Ventana platforms to ensure smooth workflow.
- Verify control slides, assess staining quality, and maintain high accuracy across all steps.
- Scan slides and ensure image clarity for downstream analysis.
- Follow OSHA, CAP, HIPAA, and internal safety standards.
- Support efficient lab operations and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Qualifications - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field
- HT or HTL certification is required.
- 1-2 years of industry experience in a clinical or research setting
- Experience with Leica Bond & Roche instrumentation
