Sr Hardware Engineer
Duration: 5 months with possible extension

Location: Phoenix, AZ, 85027 (Deer Valley)

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on Avionics products
• Plan and execute Design Verification testing on Avionics products
• Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance
• Assist in product certification for customer & regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptance
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
• Lead obsolete-component replacement investigations

You must have:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years experience in Hardware/Product Engineering
• Experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification

We value:
• Experience with Product Safety principles for Airborne Electronic Hardware
• Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of electronic display principles (e.g., LCD)
• Experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging
• Experience with serial data communication standards (ARINC 429, RS232, I2C)
• Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications
• Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes.
